We recently stayed here for 3 days during our daughters National American Miss Pageant. It was super crowded but that comes with pageants. We originally booked a smaller room but after seeing how small we asked to upgrade to a suite. They were great about it and even honored the smaller rooms price and we stayed an extra day. The... The hotel is right downtown and not much around - especially if you are looking to restaurants. We found one and hotel staff suggested their own restaurant which really was the only place nearby. The hotel rooms are well equipped, and the bar is very nice. The hotel seems a little under staffed. Everyone was very nice, but lines at... More

The Hyatt Regency is a great choice for those that want to be in downtown Rochester. The room are big, bright and fairly modern, the staff is pleasant, and the amenities are terrific.Best of all, the room area very clean and quiet. And the bathrooms are modern and very clean. Also, the housekeeping was prompt and thorough (something you can't... More

Ok let me first say, " that I really wanted to stay at the Strathallion!" But I instead took a chance with a last minute deal! And stayed at the Hyatt Regency Rochester for 4days 3nights. Never again! The staff was great! The neighborhood was um how can I put it! HOOD!!! The pool was too small to have 25... More

We live in Syracuse and travel to Rochester once in a while for a weekend get away. We arrived at the hotel just as a really bad rain storm had started. Even though the front desk appeared busy the young lady who greeted us was extremely friendly and polite. She asked the reason for our trip and let us know... More

My husband and I booked Hyatt Regency Rochester as a wedding block site for our out-of-town guests and also booked a brunch and suite for us. The rate was quite competitve with comparable hotels in the area, and the Hyatt did not require us to reserve a certain number of rooms and then pay for any remaining rooms that were... More

I don't usually write reviews of middle of the road hotels, but the service at the Hyatt in Rochester is so good it's almost worth a stop to experience. We usually stay in boutique hotels and five-stars, where you pay for and therefor expect great service...chain hotels, not so much. The Hyatt itself is everything you would expect in a... More

Husband brought me here for a special weekend getaway and we were met with impeccable service and a wonderful staff. My husband has diamond status with Hyatt hotels and used a diamond suite upgrade when he booked the room. Unfortunately at check-in, there were no suites available as there were a number of events at the hotel. Xavier who assisted... More

Stayed 1 night and booked only a few hours before through a discount website for a good price, especially as it was the Friday of a long weekend. Lobby and bar/restaurant area very nice and modern. Rooms, although clean were a bit dated – not old or ugly, just not modern like lobby. You pay for valet parking ($15) and... More

This may not be up to the standard of some Hyatts around the world but it's safe, comfortable and very friendly. Well situated in downtown and a nice walk to High Falls, which should be visited if you haven't heard of or seen them. Nice health club too. Rooms were clean and a good size and cheap valet parking.
