Our team of 16 kids and their families recently stayed at this hotel. It was well located near shopping and restaurants on the outskirts of Rochester. The small pool area was well kept and had a lifeguard. There was a great fitness area and sports bar in the atrium. The staff were very pleasant to deal with. more

Having had a bad experience at the Doubletree at JFK, I was reluctant to try another. However in the most recent of our frequent trips to Rochester, we stayed at the Doubletree in Rochester. IT WAS GREAT!! Bed was very comfortable, lots of space in the hotel room. Breakfast was perfect. We arrived during a snowstorm and they allowed us... more

Our family of three booked two nights at the Doubletree Hotel using a discounted rate of $139/night offered through our affiliation with the University of Rochester. The room was booked via phone reservation in August - for a visit in October. At the time of booking, we were given the choice of a king bed or two doubles, and our... more

I stayed at the Doubletree for one night to attend a meeting in Rochester. The hotel has a shuttle from the airport, which was very convenient. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed. The wireless connection, however, was very weak so working on line was difficult. The staff was very friendly and provided a great dinner recommendation. The free... more

We booked a weekend stay at this hotel through Orbitz.com, and had a terrible experience. Of greatest concern - although by no means the only problem - was that we had specifically requested a non-smoking room. When we arrived at 9:30 pm on a Friday night, we were given the keys to a room that reeked so badly of smoke... more

Had a great stay at this hotel, check-in was fast with a lovely warm chocolate chip cookie as a welcome treat, room was spacious and very clean. The decor of the room was a big surprise, tasteful warm colours, upgraded fixtures and a very well stocked and spotless bathroom. Our view was the streetscape but the windows were huge and... more

We stayed (family of four in a double room) for a weekend event for a family friend. Usually we'd stay in a Marriott Courtyard for that type of thing. No more, if this is what I can expect from the Hilton chain at the value level, they've got my business. What I liked was that it didn't feel like a... more

We stayed at the Doubletree for two nights while visiting family in the Rochester area. The hotel was very crowded and loud when we arrived at around midnight due to some weddings that were concluding, but we the rear entrances make parking and getting to your room much easier. The kids loved the atrium with the glass elevators however I... more

I've stayed here twice in the past couple of months for a week at a time, so have gotten to see pretty much every aspect of this hotel. It used to be a Holiday Inn up to a couple of years ago when it became the DoubleTree, and it has been remodeled since then. They've done a good job with... more

The most important thing I have to say is, because of the great pool area and other activities, families with children LOVE to stay here. Also, it seems like a lot of large groups of parents and children stay here occasionally, so at times it may be overrun with children (it was for 1 night of my 3 night stay).... more
