A lovely grand house in a great setting. The owners were welcoming bit slightly awkward. The first sensation is cigarette smoke. Then the elegant wood work and decent but not quite inviting furnishings in the living room. Sounds from the common areas came right through the room's door. In particular, the family's bird kept me from falling back to sleep.... more

My mother and I were in Rochester to pick up my son from a summer program at the University of Rochester. (My husband and son had stayed here three weeks early and the Men thought it was great! My husband and I stayed here for three nights and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful, furnished with antiques and is three stories high.
