We went to Omega for an Eckhart Tolle retreat. The grounds are beautiful and it was a special treat to be there with a wonderful spiritual teacher. This isn't someplace you go to be pampered. It’s a place to spread your spiritual wings, be present, and leave your ego at the door. Accommodations are comfy, but no frills. You can... More

My 5 days at Omega were incredible and exceeded my expectations for finding peace and working on health. The accommodations were very nice ...yes simple ...but nice and included an extra blanket for a chilly night. The grounds were beautiful. My favorite was the cafe. It was welcoming and a nice place to relax by myself or with new friends.... More

My husband and I spent two nights at what Omega Institute calls a "couple's cabin with a private bath." The "cabin" was a small, stark room with a queen-size bed, a hard, uncomfortable mattress, two cheap, thin pillows. The private bath was a small, dirty bathroom. And for this crap, we were charged $470/night!!! No kidding.

It took us a while to get into Omega because the roads are long, winding and questionable if you do not know where you're going. We arrived on a Sunday when many people were checking out and hundreds were checking in. I was most impressed with the efficiency of the check-in all done pretty much by volunteers. It is like... I Visited Rhinebeck Omega in May. Weather was beautiful The rooms were very standard no air-conditioning just a fan. I could not imagine being there without air in the summer. I went to see one of their programs Joe Cross. He made the trip great very good speaker. The grounds are beautifully kept The number one thing I liked was... More

If you like "roughing it" and camping you will love Omega. I do not. A weekend in the woods in an awful cabin is not my idea of a retreat. The spa (if you can even refer to it as that) is literally a cabin with more of a rustic wilderness vibe then zen serenity. The rooms are appalling and the... More

Omega Institute is a spiritual retreat center focused on transformation and spiritual growth. It is located on the beautiful lakefront in upstate New York. When I tell my friends about it, I tend to call it a spiritual summer camp. Hundreds of workshops to pick from. Choices range from yoga, to psychology, to creative writing, bodywork, intuitive development and even... More

This review is not about the accommodations, which frankly are very basic and overpriced. What Omega has to offer though, is an opportunity to bring meaning to one's life. It is a centre that attracts some of the leaders in the contemplative life in North America. If we are to transform our way of life to be more compassionate and... More

Omega has so much good going for it. First off, the fact that it exists is a gift. I am appreciative of a retreat center set in peaceful natural surroundings that's dedicated to bringing people together for positive transformation. The presenters Omega hosts on campus are simply top-notch. There are some fantastic amenities as well: a beautiful new center for... More
