My buddy and I stayed here for four nights,Oct 19 -Oct 23, 2015. This is a very old building ,so if you are the type of person who only wants the latest amenities, this is not the place for you. If you want a clean, friendly, inexpensive place to lay your head at night then this is the place for... More

Always an interesting place to stop and have a burger and maybe a beer! The Tap Room is a quaint little local Pub that is a gathering place for locals as well as "out of owners". The food is fresh and delicious and the prices are reasonable.

DO NOT STAY HERE ! We were going to stay in a room upstairs after a 2 hour drive and dinner. Booked room # 16 at the head of the stairs. I am a combat vet of the Vietnam Nam War & much does not scare me, but the rooms at the Tap Room are the worse I have experienced... More

Stopped here last week via snowmobile...unfortunately the place was crowded with other riders. I was really annoyed that not I person from the business greeted us and made any attempt to make room for us(one table had helmets on it....put a shelf up already!!). Not going to rate the place because my buddy says the food is good..just wish that... More

We stopped in after a hike to nearby Ferd's Bog. The town has a quaint feel, having been the last stop on the old Raquette Lake Railroad, off the New York Central, and the port of call for ferry boats. This is mainly a beer-and-shot sort of place, but the woman bartending listened receptively as my daughter explained how to... More

The Tap Room is a true Adirondack experience. It is a small bar with a single beer (Yuengling) on tap (so the name is true!) and many other beers in bottle and the full range of mixed drinks. The food is surprisingly good and very reasonably priced. If you listen in on the conversation you will quickly know everything happening... More

Was there Sunday very comfortable I just love that bar. The best thing about it. Your so far away from city people it's great. Good food and drink very away from it all. Very nice lake the trees and mountains are great to look at and being there is wonderfully

My daughter and I ate at the Tap Room at about 1 in the afternoon, several at the bar and about half of the tables were full. Service was not the fastest but reasonable, it gave my daughter and I some time to sit and talk. We had a very nice meal and price was in line with what we... More

We went on the dinner cruise and this was pretty much the only place to stay. Super convenient because it is literally right there. Nothing fancy and no tv or wifi but it was a cute comfy room. It almost has a boarding house feel to it, with the common area. Surprisingly quiet for being above a bar. The bar... More

Keep in mind this review is for the Tap Room on a Saturday afternoon. A late lunch (1:30) on a Saturday. The place was definitely not mobbed. I should have known service might be slow when I heard the waitress tell a local guy who stopped in for lunch "remember, you only have an hour for lunch break". At the... More
