I found the overall value of this stay to be very good as we got a buy 2 get 1 night free. with tax it averaged out to only $160 per night. The indoor waterpark was great, you would have to see it to believe it. I'm not sure how much I would want to be in there in the... more

Dirtiest Room I have every stayed in. Pulled back the bedspread and there was dried food on the inside of the spread. Trash barrel smelled like garbage was in it. Called front desk and they sent someone up. They GAGGED at the smell and saw the dirty bed. Took soiled linens and gave us new ones and replaced trash can... more

We spent 4 days at Great Escape. After reading the reviews I was prepared for the Tree house to not be working in the water park. They front desk refunded us 25% off each night's stay - including the Free night that was part of the package. I was very impressed by this because if you went to a theme... more

First the good....spacious room, lovely lobby, good eco-friendly emphasis. Now the bad....way over priced...stayed three days at the Wingate at Wyndham in Lake George for what one night stay at Great Escape Lodge cost (and the Wingate was much better with complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi access in room). Arrived in room and tried to access wireless internet access with no... more

We just returned from 1 night at the hotel. I booked on line but had called as well and talked to someone and no one mentioned to me that half of the water park was closed! When we checked in other guests and our kids noticed the water park was half closed and they took 25% off the bill. The... more

We recently stayed at the great escape for a few days during spring break. It was a HUGE disappointment and the worst was no one seemed to care. Upon arrival the entire treehouse area was closed, that means nothing to do for the 4-8 age group because in this area are slides, water play area, the huge bucket of water... more

My friend & I stayed 2 night’s mid-week. The room was spacious, clean, and all the amenities worked & were in good condition. The rate was heavily discounted being off-season so we more than got our moneys worth. The water park was not crowded at all and it was very enjoyable. more

As nice a hotel room as I've been in for a family - attractively decorated, functional, comfortable. Water park was fun and extensive. Chlorine levels quite high - can anything be done to minimize this? Otherwise a real pleasure of a late winter family getaway. A very good value as well. more

Our 19 month old loves water parks having been to Massanutten Va twice. Great Escape is close by and I am familiar with the area so we went to check it out. I like the mountain lodge theme...everything is beautiful..great detail. Not impressed with service when I called to reserve day passes and when I came to pick them up.... more

My family and I had a great time. The only drawback is that the water was freezing. My kids were shivering, lips were blue, and goosebumps. I just wish that the water and warm so that it could be more enjoyable. more
