We ended up there by accident. Indeed on the base of their Website, we reserved at the Winter Clove Inn: 3 steps were enough to know it was not our cup of tea... Being in the area, we drove to the Bavarian and stayed one night. The house has a lot of charm but the rooms are only average. Bedding... more

This was a fun place to stay, and my 6 and 8 year old enjoyed the old mansion setting. It kind of has the feeling of staying over a relatives house in a cozy guest bedroom, and the place oozes character and history. There are photos from the heydays when the Catskill resorts were THE place to go. We enjoyed... more

Yeah, I know, the place is old, but what's wrong with that? Most people, my wife included, think that's part of the charm of the place, as no two rooms are alike. Want uniformity, there's a Days Inn less than ten minutes away. No, you won't see rooms the size of a Caesar's Palace high-roller suite, but seriously, how much... more

After a lovely ride up to Purling to embark on a weekend away from the motion and pace of Manhattan, we arrived at the Bavarian Manor Country Inn. The inn looked quaint and comfortable and we were greeted by a friendly dog and the family who runs the lodge. However, all this warm hospitality was erased after stepping foot in... more

We found the Bavarian Manor online, and we're so glad we did! Rooms were at a premium last weekend due to the yearly Irish festival and the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival ( which we attended.) The Manor is an old, utterly charming B&B with a great wrap-around porch, clean rooms, excellent food and a very nice wait staff. The front desk... more

My boyfriend booked our room for 2 nights. Upon arrival, I noticed the shower wasnt completely clean(not to mention there was a hole in the plastic on the outside of the tub). The room was not terrible, but it was nothing fancy. We then had dinner in the restaurant. Now, maybe german food isnt our thing, but we did not... more

The hotel staff was not friendly and the restaurant staff was even worse. After arriving it took 15 minutes to find someone to check us in, and the same scenario when trying to check out. The bed was VERY uncomfortable. The free breakfast was worse than crappy dinner food. And to top it all off, the building is gorgeous but... more

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Manor last weekend. Friday evening we arrived to a lively group at the bar, and enjoyed a few good german beers. We had dinner at the Restaurant, and enjoyed a romantic, fireside meal, the dinner was exceptional, the waitstaff extremely professional and very accomondating . We were happy to retire... more

My friends & I have been going to the Bavarian Manor Inn for the past 13 years. We usually go in Oct (Columbus Day weekend) & in Feb. when the kids are off from school so they could go skiing at Windham Mountain. The rooms are very cozy & uniquely decorated & very comfortable.. The atmosphere is very family oriented.... more
