Don't let the name sway you. I've attached photos of the room I stayed in. The rooms were shoddily cleaned as shown in the photos and in dire need of upgrade. While on the toilet you couldn't shut the door no room for your knees. Entry door very difficult to unlock due to age and the doors needed shouldering to... More

My 1st time staying at Rainbow Shore we usually stay at the motel down the road but thought this year we would try Rainbow Shores. The rooms were smelly, doors hard to open, no AC, no ice had to get bagged ice from the bar and was charged $2,. I was quoted on the phone $75 a night but when... More

I have had the pleasure of eating breakfast as well as dinner at this establishment. The food is always fresh as they make their own bread, nothing processed or frozen. The menu is unique , the specials vary from week to week. The chef is excellent as I have not had a bad meal , not even once. I would... More

We had wonderful crab cakes and clams overlooking the lake. Drinks were good, wine was good, they had a duo playing some live music. It happened to be Thursday all you can eat crab night for $35 which was delicious. It was a wonderful experience. The young waitress seemed to be overwhelmed with how busy it was, but other than... I wanted a place on the lake and booked this on an impulse. We took three rooms in the cabins and once we got over our surprise at how basic they were, we fell in love with the place. Incredible sunsets, beautiful grounds, a real experience. Renovations are underway and when complete will justify a price far higher than we... More

The grounds and the view of the lake was do peaceful. The room that we slept in was moldy, dirty and the floors were very wet. We put towels down on the rugs to soak up the moisture and all this brown dirt came off the floor. I don't know if this problem will be resolved by next year

Checked in on 7/6/13.....this is not a hotel, just a few rustic cabins stuck together.....stairs to the "room' were crumbling, the door was hard to open, the room smelled horrible !! Left immediately, asked for a refund and the lady in the restaurant was very nice about it....I told her the room was misrepresented to me on the phone...not a... More

We booked our room at this hotel in July of 2012. There were numerous places to stay in Pulaski, but we chose this place because it was on the water's edge of Lake Ontario and the great reviews of their restaurant. My wife loves sunsets, and we thought it would be great to see it not only from the restaurant,... More

History has it that the original hotel was a stop-over for bootleggers bringing Canadian whiskey to the US by horse drawn wagon over a frozen Lake Ontario. Rumor has it that smuggled barrels of the Canadian elixir were stored in a secret room in the basement. Unfortunately many more were lost offshore when the wagons broke through the ice. The... More

Lets start with the positives - right on Lake Ontario - beautiful scene with the woods right up to the stone beach to the water - gorgeous sun sets. Surprisingly good restaurant with a great big patio looking right over the water. The facility is quite run down - its a old main building that houses the restaurant, a collection... More
