We chose this Marriott because (1) it was close to Hyde Park, (2) I like Marriott properties. It was ok, but I have been in numerous Courtyard hotels that were nicer. When we checked in the man at the desk was rather brusk and offered little information until I made a second trip to the lobby for help. We found... More

The hotel was great, wonderful lobby! The walls of the rooms were very thin. You could hear your neighbor, and you could hear everything and everyone in the hallway. But the amenities were great and the pool and hot tub were nice.

The hotel has a fresh new look, with a whole new lobby and bar/ restaurant area; very cool and hip. Bar and restaurant are now open in the evenings as well. Only cons are that the mattresses are a bit too firm, and the temperature control systems in the rooms need updating. But all in all a wonderful stay (staff... More

i work in a hotel in my home area, so when i travel i look for the hotel to have similar standards. I was very pleased by my visit here. Yes the front desk is undergoing renavations but the web site CLEARLY states that the lobby is in undergoing renvations, on top of that when i called and made my... More

Considering the property was under construction they should have warned me of the situation The front desk was a free standing rental bar, the refrig had very limited food and beverages..I bought a beer did not have an opener so they said we will open it now, well I didn't want to drink it untal later..On sunday morning we went... What a wonderful find this hotel is. Clean, nice staff, gym, free internet, pool (a little cold), jacuzzi and near trails, shopping and not far from NYC. My husband and I decided to get away for two days and since we had some points to spare we stayed in the Poughkeepsie Marriott Courtyard. We are into fitness so we were... More

Both beds were broken down with a six-inch dip on the edge where people have sat -- had to squeeze onto the two-foot-wide portion of the mattress against the wall, and even that was tilted toward the broken down side. This might be expected at a $70-a-night hotel, but at $160 a night, it's unacceptable. That said, the room was... More

We have stayed here twice because the options near Vassar College are limnited. Its hard to believe that the owners of this hotel are allowed to use the Marriott name. This is not up to Marriott standrds. The beds are plain awful -- not even up to the standards of a cheap Best Western. Then came breakfast. There is no... More

Courtyard is my least favorite of Marriott properties but in this case the location was important. Good basic Marriott dependability, rooms were good, clean , and basic with an inexpensive upgrade to a nice roomy 2 room suite. Only serves an over priced breakfast ( Fairfield and Springhill Suites usually include a continental buffet breakfast ) Best bet is the... More

I spent 3 nights here in august. The place was my worst nightmare considering I awoke the second morning with a giant spider on my pillow. I assumed it was a once in a lifetime thing and went to sleep the second night after having housekeeping in to clean. I awoke to use the restroom at about 5am, and found... More
