Visited to beat the heat. It's a good walk from the parking lot to the beach, maybe 1/4 mile or so. There is ample lawn and beach to get a nice spot away from other people. Unfortunatly, the swimming area is very small. To make it worse, I was not allowed to go in the "deep" section, just the kids... More

We go to the Cumberland Park twice in year and really enjoy staying. We have gone there for 4 years. Very good place to spend time with friends and family. Everything is closed to the camping. Each night we made a fire and playing the game with children. The lake beach is not deep, so good for small children. You... More

We stayed overnight on our way to NH, and were glad to hit the Grand Isle Ferry in the morning fresh and ready for roading. We had a decent space and the sites are mostly large enough to enjoy for a short time. This would not be where I spend a two week vacation, but for a short night or... More

We stayed here for Labor day weekend, visiting from Canada. We had great service from the staff. The bathrooms and showers were clean, however I would suggest to bring flip flops for the showers, the only gross thing was the drain (not in the shower, you never step on it). The only criticism that I have is that the camping... More

I should not complain, because I did not book a site until the week prior on a Sat in July.... and since I had never been to this campground before, I did not know what sites to avoid. There are quite a few nice beachfront or at least slightly larger or more private spots, I just did not have one.... More

Went for a random trip to Adirondacks in the beginning of October. Didn't realize it was going to be extremely busy in this region. Couldn't get a hotel but was able to get a nice campsite at the camp ground. It was nice and quiet. Beautiful views of Lake Champlain. Can't wait to go back again in the future sometime!

Second year in a row that we've been at this state park. Friendly staff, quiet, great beach in which you can wade out at least 100'. Very close to Plattsburgh so shopping is close by. We go with our three kids and we didn't see them for most of the afternoon since they were having so much fun! And that's... More

Cumberland Bay is a wonderful little beach. Although the swimming area is slightly small and the water can be a little rough, my family had a great time. The lifeguards were very laid back (no constant yelling about stuff like touching the rope) and the area was clean. There is plenty of room for building sand castles or just tanning.... More

If you're planning a nice, quiet camping trip, beware!!! You won't be able to sleep much, believe me. All night long we had to deal with boats, planes, cars and trucks. The Highway is less than a mile from the camping. At 4am, hundreds of seaguls were yealing at each other right until 7am, non stop. A real nigthtmare. On... More
