The only rv parking available is at the top of a fairly steep hill. This gets you away from the hundred or so truck, workers, campers who stay there and work in the area. Not a really nice quaint place to stay because of this. If you want to take a walk, must walk up and down steep hill to your site.... More

I enjoyed our stay here. The sites are large with plenty of space between other sites. Most sites were wooded and gave you a feel of being in a park setting. Very family/pet friendly. The grounds were clean and maintained. Great gift shop! The staff were very nice. A bit pricey, but, I think that keeps away all the young... More

We stayed at the Newburgh/New York KOA in late September of 2013 since it is the only campground which was along our route. It is approximately 9 miles north of I-84 through several stop lights and busy traffic which makes it inconvenient. For a 50 amp back-in site in the Fall when many of it's amenities were unavailable we still... More

After visiting many KOS's this Summer on our US road trip from Canada, this one was by far the most superior. An excellent base also to get the train into New York ,Manhattan. All the campground facilities were excellent, especially the pools and the morning pancakes ! Staff ALL very friendly and efficient.

After camping for the weekend, decided to read the reviews after camping and the reviews as mixed as they appear are fairly accurate. The prices, per extra child and resort fee does make it pricey per night($85+). The resort fee which is for the amenities that need to be improved. The mini-golf is a mess, all the basketballs are useless,... More

My husband and I want camping there on Aug 23 and 24. We made the reservation because whenever we camped in Canada at KOA the staff seemed to be in control of noise. Well not here. The campers behind us decided that they should entertain everyone in the campgroud with their loud music until will after 10:00 O'clock. They were... More

The main problem is that they don't enforce their rules, it's suggested rules. If you go on a weekend, you'll have to make people who are partying until late in the night. I was king of worrying for my teens to go alone to the restroom, just because you never know with drunk people. But beside that, on the weekdays,... More

I have been coming to this Koa on and off for about 25years. We started out as tenters and have now graduated to Kamping Kabins. The staff is always friendly here and the free pancake breakfast is a nice bonus. The main bathrooms and showers are not cleaned enough and generally are very dirty. This year in the Kabins we... Beautiful setting. Good location for hopping off I87 and I84 and only an hour from NYC. Lots of activities for whole family on site. Also close to several local activity options. Free pancake breakfast starts at 7am allowing time for a bite before hitting the road. Sites are good sized and level. Bathrooms are old but clean. Laundry room had... More

My husband and I stayed at this KOA arriving Mon. August 19th and leaving Thur. August 22nd. We chose this campground (CG) because we were going to a Yankee game via Metro North and thought it was close to the Beacon station we would use. The CG is quite a ways off I-87, but wasn't too hard to find. Checking... More
