We have stayed at this quaint inn on several occasions and find it to be a great place for adventure, relaxation, and plain old fun! Whether enjoying the on site water sports, tennis, and guests/staff OR hiking great tails nearby, sampling the rural atmosphere, shopping for antiques, watching for wildlife, seeing the stars, etc. The rooms are very nice, breakfast... We booked a cabin online during the Columbus day weekend, our usual fall vacation with our 3 kids. The website does not give accurate information about the cabins. We booked our vacation from Friday until Monday, for 4 nights. When we arrived we were assigned Cabin 1 which is right next to the parking lot which is really awful with... More

Our family of three stayed two nights over Columbus weekend. This is our third time back and we have always had a great experience. The Inn won't be confused with a luxury resort, but it is clean, comfortable, friendly, and historic, with a lot of character and beautiful grounds. Water sports, which when available include a nice beach and canoeing... More

A friend and I visited the Irondequoit Inn at the height of leaf peeping season. Set on a hill in the middle of the woods and overlooking Lake Piseco, the inn's location is quintessentially "Adirondack". The autumn colors were spectacular. The Inn itself was very clean and the innkeeper was friendly. The mattresses in our room were not the most... More

Just completed another several-day stay at the Irondequoit. It's still rustic & relaxing, and has even improved a bit since my last visit. See my 2/3/10 review for prior comments and pictures. The Inn has new innkeepers and the (absentee) owners seem to have made a very good decision. This husband & wife team loves the Inn and they have... More

This was exactly the get away we were needing. We stayed in a tent site along the lake. The inn keepers were extremely helpful and friendly to us. Our tent site was clean and was easily accessible from the rest of the grounds. We kayaked on the beautiful lake and even saw a bald eagle!! We heard the beautiful sounds... More

It's a beautiful magical place. You either get it or you don't. ......Beyond that, tripadvisor requires me to post at least 200 characters or I cannot post this. Too bad because I wanted to keep it simple. It's a simply magical place for people who are looking for the peace of the wilderness without worrying about camping totally out there.... More

Thank you for your wonderful review. We now have new innkeepers and are going through some changes (all for the better). Our chef is really a master with the kitchen!! Come back and visit us again soon. The eagles once again have nested on the island and we are very please to announce an art exhibition in our living rooms... More

The Irondequoit Inn is a 600 acre lakefront property in a sparsely populated area in the middle of the Adirondacks. It has a main lodge, an annex building with efficiencies, 5 cabins throughout the property and campsites near the lake. The lake is shallow for 100 yards or more, with soft sand, and in the summertime the water warms up... More

My husband and I stayed here one night during the week while hiking the Northville Placid trail. We stayed in the main house in one of the king rooms. Our stay was short but was a much welcome rest from our hiking. The inn keepers were very accommodating for our specific needs and were very friendly. We were able to... More

We visited here from Australia in July 2012. Being fans of New York City we were given the opportunity to experience the absolute natural beauty of Lake Piseco and the quaintness of the Inn. We travelled without a car from Penn Station and were picked up by Loren at Amsterdam and then driven back. In fact Pamela and Loren were... More
