we recently stayed at the phoenicia lodge for 3 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. we researched various areas and lodging options in the catskills area and the phoenicia lodge seemed to check most of our boxes, including a walk-able downtown, full kitchen, affordable price, and peaceful atmosphere. location: the phoenicia lodge is directly off a main road that connects... I feel like we happened upon a great secret with this place. I found it while planning a birthday weekend for my husband, who is a newly minted fishing enthusiast. I wanted someplace he could walk to fish (for trout specifically) and come back and forth to the cabin without it being a big production. It had to be very... More

I'd return to this charming lodge in a heartbeat. I stayed in #3 for three nights, and then moved to #2 when I decided to extend my stay for one more night. They're both quaint and cozy, and you couldn't go wrong with either, but in the end I liked #2 just a tiny bit more. It has a nicer... More

A one night stay in the hotel. Quite pleased. Check in was smooth and included cookies. The room was quite small but bed was good. Bathroom also tiny but newly redone. Good towels and bedding. There is a table and some easy chairs but we did stay in the room long enough to see how comfortable they would be. No... More

Stayed in the Suite above the reception office this past weekend. Was pleasantly surprised at how nice the Lodge was. Room was clean, full kitchen, bathroom stocked with plenty of towels. FYI, oven did not work but stove top did. Perhaps this was to prevent any type of gas leak? Wi-Fi at the Lodge is good and there is spotty... More

I booked cottage #6 as a surprise for my husband's birthday. He had no idea where we were going. Last year I surprised him with a trip to Tokyo, so I was hoping he didn't have the same expectations. The cabin was perfect for the two of us, I think four would have be fine too! It was VERY clean,... More

We stayed on a Monday and Tuesday night in mid March. The tail end of the ski season at a non peak time. The cabins are very clean and nice; basic but well maintained. There is a fridge, coffee maker and toaster as well as an oven. No microwave. Flat screen tv with cable. Good wifi. It is a short... More

Stayed with family in one of the suites over the New Year's break. Went skiing at Hunter which was a 20 minute drive. The pictures on the site represent the place very well - it has a unique and pleasant style of furnishings and decorations. It's run by a husband-wife team! We loved the accommodation and will gladly come back!

We have stayed twice here for ski weekends! Initially, we chose it because we were on a limit budget that weekend. But we returned! The couple who owns it is young and very polite. The breakfast is simple, but you can take your energy bars for the slopes! Take the opportunity to a) eat the cookies made by the owner... More

We had a wonderful short stay at this charming lodge conveniently located near several hiking trails and other activities. We booked a cozy and clean cabin -- it lived up to expectations in every way. Everything little detail has been attended to. Excellent value. Perfect place for a quick getaway.
