On the surface, this is a nice B&B - quiet, large rooms, lots of charm. However, there are drawbacks. Tiny bathrooms: only one person can fit at a time, which means it takes a couple twice as long to get ready for dinner, etc. Breakfasts were pretty good, but on both mornings, the eggs were cold and there was no effort to bring out seconds (we were a group of six). I stayed at Wagener Estate for two nights in mid October, and would recommend this small establishment to anyone. My stay was part of an important celebratory holiday with my wife, for which I had high hopes, and was not disappointed. Very pleasant B&B in a large historic home near Keuka Lake and the town of Penn Yan. Good sized rooms (actually suites) and superb hot breakfast. more

My husband and I have stayed at Wagener Estate for 3 years in a row while vacationing in the Finger Lakes. We have stayed in 2 different rooms, the Niagara and the Catawba, and both were very nice. How wonderful to be reminded of the beauty of the Finger Lakes Region. In addition to the many wineries the area hosts many other activities, attractions and dining. My husband and I needed a getaway most desparately. We are so fortunate to have found Wagener Estate B&B. The inn afforded us comfortable, quiet accomodations. The Wagener Estate is a very nice bed and breakfast. The rooms are cute and the grounds and house are well maintained. The innkeepers are lacking on a few of the finer points of a bed and breakfast. While the breakfast was delicious, there was no afternoon tea put out, baked goods from one day's breakast were put out again the following morning, and we were not offered more than the alloted 2 pancakes/french toast... more
