Most reasonable motel included continental breakfast, large, clean rooms, microwave and fridge, tv , clock radio and very comfortable beds.Staff were the best. Next door to Wal Mart superstore, Applebees, Radio Shack, $Tree and Shoe Outlet. Within a 5 min drive of downtown. The units are older but well maintained, and very quiet setting. Special pricing on more than 1 night... more

We stayed there for one night in 2 queens room. the room was clean, staff was very friendly. quiet place. It looks little old from outside. The room was clean & roomy. Bathroom was little small. Beds were okay. Breakfast was included. Bread, boiled eggs, tea/coffee , OJ, Milk . Good place to stay if you have little kids. more

It is an older hotel - must have been a showplace in the 1960's, with what must have been a nice restaurant and bar (now closed) attached. The hotel is dated, to be sure ! Its mostly families staying, the beds are nice, rooms are clean and the place has some charm. Small bathrooms but very large rooms. If you... more

Ok, I am old, fat, and grouchy. It can be a bit hard to please me, but this older place was alright. Clean, LOTS of parking, and gigantic rooms. (I was on the ground floor around to the right of the lobby) I will stay there again. more

When we drove up to the motel I was really put off by the look of the outside. However the lobby was very nice and our room was very large, clean, comfortable. The bed was great. We were just stopping for an overnight and it was fine. I would recommend this motel - just go beyond the outside appearance of... more

We have been travelling from London Ontario to Washington DC regularly for several years. Painted Post/Corning has been a good stopover trip break for us. We discovered this motel several years ago, but recently it has been in the middle of a construction zone for a new major interstate intersection. Very heavy traffic, lots of heavy equipment parked around it,... more

The location of this hotel was excellent. There is a Walmart and Appleby's restaurant next door. The fron desk stafff was very friendly and our request for extra pillows was promptly filled. The room was very large but dated. The continental breakfast was acceptable. Good coffee and plenty of choices. more

PROS: Inexpensive Convenient Private Comfortable Customer Service was good Convenient to Applebee's and WalMart No "adult" television channels (thank God) CONS: Refrigerant from refrigerator smelled Furnace was noisy Could hear other guests' doors After reading a few of the unsavory reviews, I had my qualms about staying at the Lodge. But the main three complaints from others' reviews-- construction noise,... more

I grew up in the Corning area and the Lodge on the Green was always the place my family recommended to family members or friends who were coming into the area. I have since moved away, but I needed a place to stay for the Thanksgiving holiday when returning home. I was a little skeptical because of the reviews here,... more
