Absolutely superb! Tucked away in the NY Adirondacks, you can lose yourself easily... Wonderful family run bed and breakfast, just what one needs to lose the hustle and bustle of eveyday life. Super accommodating and caring-- Barry and Ellen made it even more worthwhile. Delicious home cooked breakfasts and clean home feeling. I loved every minute and would highly recommend.... More

We have been staying at the Alpine Homestead each summer for Camp Visiting Day weekend since they opened, and we have never been disappointed. The rooms are quaint and clean, and Peggy and Barry are the consummate innkeepers/hosts/chefs (their breakfasts are AMAZING, and seem to change every time we are there!). We wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area -... More

The innkeepers Peggy and Barry are great. They are friendly, attentive, and very welcoming. Their B&B and the accompanying surroundings are warm and cozy and make for a great weekend getaway. Lake George and all the attractions it has too offer are just a half hour away, and it's nice to return back at the inn at night where it... More

Stayed two nights here with my wife and 2 teenage daughters as we were rafting with the North Creek Rafting Company (highly recommended - see separate review). Barry and family welcomed us into their home and provided lovely food, great accommodation and lots of advice about what to do and where to eat in the neighbourhood. We slept in probably... More

From the minute you arrive, you know you are in a special place, one created with a love and appreciation of a foregone time. This farmhouse has been lovingly restored (ask Barry to talk about it!) and decorated with Peggy's unique vision. We found ourselves gazing and peeking around corners, into nooks and crannies, on bookshelves, enjoying the play of... More

If you are visiting the Lake George/Gore Mountain area...you must stay here. If you want to experience a B & B for the first time...Beware...this place will set the bar very high. From the food, to the home, the owners, to the price....it truly is the best! We have not been to a better B& B. The other guests were... More

This was everything you would expect in a B&B experience. The owners are absolutely wonderful, they are cheerful and inviting and make you feel very much at home. The house and rooms are beautiful and basic things like the water pressure and amount of hot water were great too. Very close to Gore Mountain if you like skiing. Breakfasts were... More

This B & B is a warm and pretty place with reasonable rates, 15 minutes from Gore. It is immaculately clean, the antique bed with fluffy comforters was incredibly comfortable, and the hosts make a wonderful breakfast.

This is the best bed and breakfast. There are so many nice details - a beautiful location, amazing breakfast, comfortable beds, cozy rooms, modern bathrooms. The current owners renovated the house and created a perfect mixture between modern amenities while preserving the 19th century flair of the house.
