This horrible excuse for a motel is now closed. There was a day - in the 60's when it was a nice family place. Thank goodness it has closed. When it was still the DeSoto back in the 60's and early 70's it was a decent place. Try one of the nice new hotels in Olean area.

Absolutely nasty!!! Where do I start to discribe the conditions of this place. Nasty carpet that has probably never been swept, filthy unmopped bathroom floor, toothpaste and soap all over the sink, soap scum and mold in the shower, lampshades were torn to pieces, 25 watt bulbs in the light fixtures, refrigerator had leaked water on the counter and in the... This motel is a dump---used to be called Motel DeSoto. Room was filthy, towels and sheets were unchanged---had to get new ones from front desk and change the bed myself. Trash was not emptied. Wireless internet did not work. Carpet was old and dirty. Dirty sneakers under dresser. Shower and sink were filthy as was whole bathroom. Had to ask... More

Where to begin? How about arriving to a filthy room with unmade bed and dirty sheets? How about traveling hours away from home for a reunion and walking into a hotel bathroom with someone else's dirty towel hanging on the door? Disgusting carpet? Windows that were broken? Bathroom that was disgusting? Not enough for you?? Still reading? Ok--How about being... More

Stayed at this hotel and was really bothered by the service, room and amenities. Booked two rooms online at the Knights Inn website for two nights. After discovering both of the rooms to be very unkept, holes in the comforter from cigarette burns, dirty pillowcases, windows that did not close, shower that did not drain, used towels in the bathrooms... I now understand reviewers that say, they should have stayed in their car for the night... We arrived at this hotel when it was freezing and snowing in the evening. When we walked into our room it was cold but we thought once we adjusted the thermostat and went to get some dinner it would warm up the room. WRONG-when... More
