We came to the Adirondacks for our friend's wedding. We've were here a few years ago before the motel switched from Best Western to Adirondack Lodge and were very pleased to see the beautiful new log cabin remodel outside and the impressive log furniture in the guest rooms... it really enhanced the atmosphere of being in the mountains. When we... more

This is the biggest waste of money...dont stay at this hotel! There was mildew in the bathroom. My sheets has stains on them...don't think they were changed ever. Not to be mean but the housekeeper looked like she hadnt showered in weeks, and she was cleaning the room? yuck! There were dogs in the lobby when I checked in and... more

I have stayed at the Sunset-Best Western-Adirondack Lodge many times. I actually really love this hotel. Sadly, I won't probably stay there again anytime soon. The staff there is just downright creepy. The maintenance man has a kid that he dumps off at the facilities every time we're there and you get stuck watching his kid while your on vacation.... more

Awful place to stay! well lets start with checking in. By 1 pm our rooms were still unavailable because they were not cleaned. i wonder why it takes so long to clean the smallest of rooms? One day, after finally checking in, we return from a long day of snowmobiling only to find the cleaning lady in our room chowing... more

This hotel was a generic place to sleep while visiting the charming local towns -- good enough, but not a destination in itself. The room was sparse, but clean and roomy. The bathroom was small, but usable. It was a pricey stay, as Old Forge is very popular in the winter, so you don't get much of a bargain for... more

When I booked this motel, I was shocked at the price. I didn't realize that it's in a resort area, with a large water park and other attractions. When I arrived, I couldn't find the motel until someone told me where it was -- outside of town, not in Old Forge at all. The motel is rustic, in keeping with... more

Aug. 26, 2008 This motel no longer supports the Best Western logo. When we stayed here, they were in the process of adding log siding and refurbishing the furniture. We stayed in the main building, which had not yet been upgraded. The room was a good size with a little balcony overlooking the gazebo and tennis court. There is a... more

This hotel is now called the Adirondack Lodge...changed its name very recently. This was a fine family hotel. Not luxurious, but clean and comfortable. We appreciated the refrigerator in the room! The breakfast wasn't great, but better than some we've had. The pool wasn't huge, but it was indoors and nice and warm. The room was clean and fairly quiet.... more

First of all, the motel changed from a "Best Western" to Adirondack Lodge and did not notify me. I had to stop twice in Old Forge to ask for directions and that is how I learned of the name change. It would have been nice of them to add this info to my email confirmation that was sent to me... more

I absolutely loved my stay! the rooms were neat and freshly cleaned. The beds were incredibly comfortable! I really loved the fact that the staff was so friendly. No question I had went unanswered. The indoor pool and sauna was a definite plus on a rainy weekend. Keep up the great work! more
