I did not select the hotel as I was part of a group. I was in town for a snowmobile trip. The room is very dated and bare of any essentials (No clock, coffee maker, & hair dryer). If the room does not matter to you, then this Motel is for you. Parking was a little hairy on the weekend.

Location is good in the center of town. You can walk to everything and view the lake from most rooms. Exterior looks deteriorated and is in need of updating. Continental breakfast is included but definitely not worth waiting for until 8am when they open. No coffee makers in the room. Rooms are pricey and bare bones basic with no decoration... More

We made a rather last-minute reservation for the very peak Fall colors weekend and they were most helpful in accommodating our very late arrival after their office had closed for the day. We had a comfortable two-night stay, enjoying the location looking out upon the lake. The place was reasonably quiet considering it's a good-size motel spread out in several... More

The rooms are dingy and dated. Beds and bedding are old and very uncomfortable. There are no amenities in the rooms other than a tv. No coffee maker, hair dryer, or ironing board. The room and bathroom smell of mildew. The maids do nothing more than make the beds. They don't restock anything like cups or shampoo. Worst of all,... More

We've been staying at the Forge Motel for many years. We try to get there 3 X's a year - summer, fall and winter. The Adirondacks are beautiful all year. The Forge Motel is conveniently located at the head of the Fulton Chain of lakes. The rooms offer a beautiful view of the lake. Since it faces east, the sun... More

We stayed at The Forge Motel from Aug 15 to Aug 17. We had two rooms. for two nights and paid more than 500.00. The rooms were very plain. Nothing inspiring from the area. There was no coffee maker, or hair dryer. The bathrooms were moldy with no ventilation. The locks on the sliding doors were broken, in both rooms.... More

I would rate this hotel higher if the price per nite were lower, however, for 120 a nite it lacks amenities. For it's location, it's amenities are pretty much standard. The good part about this hotel is the view, it's location, and it's overall service to its guests. The rooms are cleaned each day, but the room it self is... More

We really enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and roomy. Even had TV with lots of stations. Great WiFi connection. Pool was nice. Short walk to beach and playground. Will stay here again. Cons: free breakfast had limited selection. Cold cereal would be a nice addition for children. Loved the view.
