Very nice hotel. Beds very comfortable. Room rugs need a good cleaning. Continental breakfast very nice. Coffee and tea available throughout the day and evening. Bathroom set- up in room does not allow for a lot of privacy. However water pressure is great and lots of hot water.

Read all the way till the end...there is a kicker in here. When I came to Old Forge I was excited as one usually is to experience the beauty of the area I remembered as a child. I am now from NC so we drove a very long way to be at a wedding for my niece. NY known for... More

The hotel is in a good location for the waterpark but it's a little overpriced for what you get. The walls are very thin so sound travels freely from room to room, very annoying and there are no elevators. I was told the waterpark and the hotel are jointly owned so there's a definite season. The continental breakfast was better... More

Dear Guest, Our hotel has some historical significance behind it as it was relocated to its present location on the start of the Fulton Chain of Lakes from its original location on North Street when it was known as The Pioneer. After it was relocated, the hotel was added onto and this was all before the current owners purchased it... More

Facility boasts of being fully non-smoking. It was even etched onto the entrance door. First room we were given reeked of cigarette smoke. Second room seemed better, smelled of room freshener. Later that evening, I could smell stale smoke and chalked it up to residue on my clothes from the first room. Guess I was being too forgiving. I have... More

Stayed overnight as part of the Adirondack Scenic Railroad adventure. Accommodations and amenities are very family oriented, which is an important feature for our bunch. Felt very comfortable. Needed a way back to train station for departure back to Utica and Beth came to the rescue with a wonderful solution! Cheers!

I've been to Old Forge several times and I appreciate the rusticness of the experience, but there is rustic and authentic that is enjoyable and beautiful and then there is rusticness that borders on "in need of soft upgrades to features and amenities". I would like to see some updates that would take this hotel from "ok" to "outstanding". The... More

Stayed there 8/16/14 and the it looks very nice. The room at first glance looked clean, turned on the light over the nightstand and had dust over. Checked the headboard and same thing. The internet connection was hardly available, arcade was mostly out of order machines; though there is Calypso's Cove across the street. The pool is small for the... More

Let's begin with the pros... Friendly staff and of course the location. Now the cons, the room was dusty, mystery fluids on the 2 top blankets makes me think they are not washed after each stay. There were dark hairs on the sheets as well and the carpet needed vacuuming. There was a loud humidifier in the room and the... More

The staff were very helpful, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was acceptable, was expensive for that type of lodging. The downside was once outside the room the hallways smelled really bad like a heavy damp smell plus the carpet had seen better days. The internet was hit or miss mostly miss, so if you are relying on the internet... More

This establishment has a fabulous location & has clean rooms. The only downside, a large one, is the price. The inn is rustic, like all if the motels in Old Forge & I believe the prices are very expensive.
