The hotel is well positioned and the pool area is good. However our room no 123 was in an awlful position right at the end of the hotel with our front looking at the rear of the kitchens, and the side overlooking a dusty car park. The rooms were a little basic for a hotel of this standard. There appeared... more

Great hotel, lovely staff at the front desk, always smiling, rooms cleaned very well daily, pools are bang on, bar sells very cold beer and good food. Takes about 5 minutes to walk into Fira and you don't have to pay a million dollars a night for the same view. Loved it. I've read some negative reviews on this place,... more

The hotel itself is beautiful on the exterior with the pools and well-appointed cottages . The room was clean, but sleep was near impossible for 2 reasons: a) The hardest bed I have ever slept on, no mattress at all, more like just the boxspring. b) The hotel was expanding and early morning construction in back of our room had... more

Anyone who has actually stayed here couldn't possibly find anything to criticize. Elderly Mom and 2 adult daughters--all seasoned travelers--stayed there for 4 days recently as part of a Trafalgar Island Hopper tour. The hotel was sparkling clean throughout, beautiful marble floors, free computer access in the hotel lobby, and our bungalow was absolutely lovely, less than 100 feet from... more

We stayed for 1 week , we had a lovely room over looking the pool. The room was also very clean. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of choice. The hotel was ideally located a 20 minute walk from town with a veiw along the way of the volcano. more

I stayed here 3 nights as part of the Trafalgar Greek Island Hopper tour. I was very impressed by the size of our room and everything else about the hotel. Room: Our room was very large and very clean and nice. Tile floors throughout. When you entered there was 2 couches, a desk, new flat screen TV, fridge and an... more

I stayed at the El Greco as part of the Trafalgar Greek Island Hopper and thought it was a really nice hotel. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk into town and about 5 minutes from the market. El Greco overlooked the Caldera and there were amazing sunset views in the evening. There are multiple pools to use at... more

The hotel looks beautiful - but that's where it ends. Our room was digusting, old pant peeling, a refrigerator that kept you awake all night. The bathroom was mouldy and dirty. This is not a cheap hotel - thank God Santorini is so beautiful, otherwise this hotel would have ruined our holiday more

So we were put into the El Greco after a recommendation from the travel website, checked the El Greco website itself, and all looked great. El Greco is based on a very busy main road leading in to Fira. Pool area is large, spacious and absolutely adequate for those happy to lounge about. Our room, however, was utterly vile. First... more

This hotel was amazing! It directly overlooks the caldera, right in the middle, from the front facade of the hotel. Our room overlooked the Aegean on the other side of the island (we were high up enough to see across the island) and could see islands in the distance. We walked about 1/2 km every day to Fira town, and... more
