One word sums it's up - breathtaking. There is no bluer water in the world and Oia offers the most stunning views of the caldera. This hotel was owned and operated by a wonderful Greek man who went out if his way to help us. The room was inside the cave so it was cool and dark, which made for... More

In September 2010 my wife & I celebrated our 20th anniversary in Greece. Our favorite part of the journey was our delightful stay at Filotera ... delicious food, wonderful company, magnificent views, and hospitality abounding. Our room was absolutely beautiful and everything we could have hoped for: comfortable, romantic, sereen, and delightful views of both sides of the island! Cook... More

Filotera Villas evokes the feeling of old Greece, when local Santorini families owned and operated most hotels here, and before Santorini graced the covers of countless travel magazines. At Filotera Villas, Nikolas, his son, Adonis, and the whole family will make you feel like long lost friends and very much at home as you enjoy their warmth, hospitality and the... More

My wife and I stayed at Filotera villas as part of our 25th wedding anniversary "Greek Island Hopping" celebrations in June 2014. Actually, "stayed" does not do it justice - "luxuriated" would be a more appropriate description! We were lucky enough to be given "Afoura" which is the Honeymoon suite and I must say, for newlyweds, there could be no... More

We stayed at Filotera Villas for 5 nights in early October. Nikolas and his family were all friendly and fabulous from the moment we arrived. They greeted us by name and always had a smile when we asked questions. The cave houses sit in an amazing location in OIA with views to die for. We loved our small cave house... More

Three of us stayed in a two bedroomed cave house and it was truly magical. The accommodation was really spacious and I have to say I think we had the largest terrace/patio in the whole of Oia (pronounced eeya). The views of the caldera are amazing, I couldn't imagine anywhere that would give better views. Location is ideal, just on the... More

The view and room were a dream come true. Throw in the owner and his family that manage this place and it is one of the best places my wife and I have ever stayed anywhere in the world. We would come back here in an instant any time we could. Stay here if you can!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the first review I have EVER written - but I have trusted the opinions of Tripadvisor users for years. Honestly, the property is very modern and lovely. The views are simply amazing from your semi-private "balcony." Anyway, I hate to let the cat out of the bag, but it is very affordable and top notch in every way.... More

We recently stayed at the Filoteravillas from Sept. 26-30,2014. Though we had a misque on our room type it was quickly remedied. The villas are beautiful and the view looks like it is from a post card. Nikolus the owner has to be the nicest person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting along with his entire family. When... Stayed four nights, last week. Nikolas and his children are locals, very friendly and easy to support. Oia is scenic and lovely, and these cave rooms have cycladic charm to match. Breakfasts are simple but ample; call ten minutes ahead for them. The infinity pool is perhaps the highlight; share the space around it with people from all over the... More
