I have chosen the hotel based on trip advisor's reviews and we stayed there in Mid Jun 09. Pretty decent accommodation given the reasonable rate of Euro 90 per night. Fantastic location. cosy room and beautiful view. It feels like renting a home instead of a hotel room. Old oia house is more like a house instead of a full-fledged... more

This is a tough one. We're 50/50 on Old Oia Houses. Let's start with the positive. Location and view: both EXCELLENT. I honestly don't think there could be a better location in Oia. We were just steps away from watching the famous sunsets; the houses are closer to shops and restaurants (the busiest part of town) than many of the... more

Honestly, our budget was very limited and we chose Old Oia House simply on its low rate. But it didn't disappoint us (although that was probably the smallest room in Old Oia House)! That's our best night in Greece! I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND this hotel to all budget travellers! more

We happened upon Old Oia Houses through the reviews here, and it certainly didn't not dissapoint - we had a gorgeous little cave house, which was perfect, the bathroom was a particular treat. It was impeccably clean, with very cosy touches (lots of cushions on the daybeds) plenty of crockery in the little kitchenette, and a view of the caldera... more

Santorini is not my favorite island anymore- it is sadly being destroyed by thousands of tourists in buses coming off of cruise ships. That said, Oia is the ONLY place to stay. We were going to drop the outrageous money to stay in a top hotel (cause all the hotels on the Caldera side with great views come at top... more

We stayed here from the 9th of May to the 16th of May this year. I'm 30 and my fiancé is 26, and we're from Norway. Have to say first, that we ended up booking old oia houses based on the reviews on tripadvisor. Secondly, I think we were lucky with the weather, and that colors the experience as well.... more

DEFINITELY stay in Oia when you visit Santorini, and stay here if you can. A quaint little place that was very comfortable, with a terrace off the bedroom and a rooftop patio with lounge chairs and an umbrella, all with the most incredible view I have ever seen. The breakfast was provided but was bread and coffee, but can be... more

After reading the reviews (good and bad)we thought that we would try Old Oia Houses. We were so glad we stayed there. Vasilis greeted us at the airport, we went to Old Oia Houses and as soon as we started walking down the steps and saw the gorgeous sight right from our balcony...we knew we made a good choice. You... more

My boyfriend and I went on a two week trip to Greece in mid May 2008. We decided to go to Athens and one island. We went to the island of Santorini. We settled on Old Oia Houses in the town of Oia based on the reviews I had read on this site. We were not dissapointed. We took the... more

My travel buddy did the research and booked this traditional room. When we got there, we had to find the restaurant "Lotsa" to get the key to the room. A guy named Marco showed us to our room (which is really a separate traditional house type room). Luckily we had room #1. Right off the path. I recommend you ask... more
