We stayed three nights in the Sailing Suite in early June 2015. Takis and his wife were excellent hosts, willingly and graciously looking after our every need. Our accommodations were superb. One of our best holidays ever! We would certainly return.

first off, thank you to Takis and his wife for their hospitality! from the moment we parked our car outside of Oia to the morning we left, Takis was there to take care of our every needs and made our stay very special. Couple of things to keep in mind: *) Their are multiple room types at this property, so... More

Perfect, just perfect, the setting, the, view, the vernacular architecture, the stylish interior design, the continuous flowing sculpted white surfaces, and the setting on the edge of the volcano and the deep dark blue of the Caldera lagoon. How good could it get? Takis and his wife are the most charming and helpful of hosts and over a delicious breakfast... More

This review is long overdo. I stayed two nights with two friends in September 2014. Takis (sp?) the manager was accommodating to every wish. When we arrived, he suggested a catamaran tour around the island, which was the highlight of the trip. He called and arranged everything. He also recommended dinner in Amoudi Bay, which he booked, as well. It... More

We stayed here just recently, in September and loved the experience. The rooms are decorated with period antiques; the location is perfect with outstanding views of the caldera and the famous Oia whitewashed, blue-domed buildings. It is in the center of town, but very quiet. Takis and is wife are welcoming and charming hosts who are always available, but not... More

Four of us, two retired couples, stayed at the Sea Captain's House for three nights. It's an old but very well maintained house converted to a boutique hotel. Perfect unobtrusive care from the innkeeper and his lovely wife. The only hotel in Oia to meet your incoming transportation with a donkey to carry your luggage. Perfect Santorini views from your... Sadly I am unable to review room as I was not collected from the airport despite paying for prearranged pick up, after waiting for an hour and missing the iconic sunset I made my own way the the sea captains house to find that the manger had me booked for the next night. On reviewing paperwork he apologised I had... More

Although there was a misunderstanding for your visit, I thought that upon your departure that you were pleased with the upgraded accommodation with outdoor jacuzzi, views to the caldera and sea from the famous Oia castle location, full breakfast (instead of the originally booked Continental breakfast) plus the complimentary departure transfer to your private sailing boat. I enjoyed our chat... More

I can hardly imagine there is a more beautiful place to stay in Santorini. In fact, there are few places as beautiful in the world. I stayed here with a friend at the end of August. We never stopped saying WOW every time we stepped out of the Sea Captain's Suite to see the view. Takis and Demetria are so... More

We stayed 3 nights in the Sailing Suite. When we stepped through the door from the Oia steps to our private balcony the view literally took my breath away. The room was fantastic and breakfast served on the balcony looking out over the Caldera so special. You must visit Oia and stay at the Sea Captain's. It is a memory... More

I don't often take the time to write reviews on Trip Advisor but this place was so fantastic, I can't help but go on and on about it. Takis was the perfect host, our breakfast was outstanding, every detail was taken care of and the room was the picture of perfection. When I think about good hospitality, I will think... More
