My husband and I stayed for one night at this hotel, Fortunatley it was for only one night, I read the reviews before I booked it and since returning I have re-read them , I dont agree with any of them! The hotel was clean but very basic, You could barely turn around in our room it was so small... more

Three of us (one 7 year old) stayed in a junior suite here. The rooms appear to have been recently refurbished to a high standard in a modern style that grates slightly against the more classical exterior and public rooms, but the room was very comfortable, clean and had a good shower. We stayed half board, there's no choice of... more

Fantastic place! Beaulieu is a sleepy small town on the Dordogne river. The hotel is an old building that has been preserved and restored very tastefully. Our room was originally two rooms; one now formed the bedroom and the other the dressing room and bathroom. It was all freshly decorated and spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds and perfectly clean linen which... more

We stayed at Le Manoir du Beaulieu in the Perigord, formerly the Central Hotel, for one night at 150 Euro 2 people half board (incl. breakfast and private parking). (Our suggestion: take the half board!) The beautifully designed, comfortable rooms have been renovated over the last two years, ours as recently as two months ago. They successfully combine classic with... more

I recently sent this email to the owners of Le Manoir & received a really lovely reply saying that Patrice would buy me a drink next time I am there. "I would like send my thanks for your hospitality recently - I'm sorry I can't write in french! We spent last week holidaying in Curemont and came to visit Beaulieu... more

We have just returned from a week at this wonderful friendly hotel. We were welcomed with open arms and made to feel at home form the outset. The owner, Patrice. makes a point of personally introducing himself to all guests in their own language. He has typical French charm where the ladies are concerned. The rooms are all individual and... more

Fantastic hotel. Stayed for 3 nights comfortable and very clean, staff so polite and proffesional looked after us nothing was too much trouble, Restaurant / food was a delight if you do nothing else treat yourself and eat food that justifies the hotel boasting of the best chef in the region. Food price resonable, wine very expensive. Would reccommend eating... more

Hotel was very affordable, which made up for the fantastic French cooking although food was expensive, but well worth it. It's not everyday we sit down to the best French Chefs serving delicious meals. We were also rather spoilt by having a young trainee waiter serving us who was excellent. Royally spoilt. Pre dinner drinks and tasty titbits by a... more

Stayed for two nights whilst touring the area. Situated in centre of Beaulieu, quiet location. Service was very good both at reception and in the restaurant.. Dined there both nights - expensive, but well worth it. Meals were excellent - hotel boasts top young chef in Limousin. Breakfast, typically French, croissants, pastries, bread, coffee etc. Have had better/more for same... more
