This absolutely splendid hotel really deserves accolades. A wonderful spot in a medieval village Excellent rooms, food and hospitality. Most stuff even has english translations! Just the nicest warmest hotel we have stayed in over the last 6 months in europe.

A 2-star hotel that really deserves 3. Lovely setting, superb (large) rooms, fine linens, coffee/tea in the room, excellent restaurant, charming staff. What more does one want? will stay here again.......

The hotel is certainly in a beautiful setting but its such a shame that all the accommodation faces over the courtyard. Our room was comfortable but Paris dimensions in its size. This hotel proved to be nothing special one way or the other - but perhaps the fact that it was raining the whole time we were there in August took the shine off it. We arrived without a booking, and were pleased there was a vacancy here for a few nights. We didn't see another hotel in town where we would have preferred to have stayed. Lovely location, dining room lots of character and very colourful, bed comfortable. However advert stated pet friendly and pets stay free. We booked with our two dogs for a one night stay. A charming hotel on the bank of the Dordogne, in the mediaeval town of Beaulieu. Each room named after a type of strawberry, for which the area is noted.
