This was the best campsite that we have stayed in after many years of travelling to France. It has it all, great service ( especially Caroline and Fred at the bar and the staff at reception jos). Gorgeous location and everything is so handy, you have the river and a great selection if restaurants. It is fantastic value the only... More

This is an excellent camp site in every respect, a great location, great amenities, but a couple of minor mysteries - why do you have to supply your own toilet paper? And why clean the toilet/washing block at 8am? So as long as you are prepared, you will not be disappointed.

Stayed here for 4 nights in mid July. We choose a 'nature site' that is without electric hook up as we were staying in a small tent; Our emplacement was under heavy tree cover and ground was soft to muddy after recent rain. Never fully dried out entire time we were there thus mud on footwear was a constant problem.... More

Just returned home to Belfast yesterday having spent 14 days in mobile home on this site. Beautiful site, small and extremely friendly. Everything worked fine, great for kids. Nice wee cheap restaurant for drinks and freshly made pizza for under 10 Euro. Just beside picturesque part of river with lots of nice walks. Right beside beautiful little town with a... More

We stayed here for four nights in June 2014 - what a beautiful place. We camped on the edge of the river and it was great. The facilities were very good - hot showers, washing machines, excellent children's play area and pool. Will take our grandchildren there when they are older!

Appreciating that everyone is different but for us, with a young son and we love our running and road biking, this place comes highly recommended. As many of the reviews already say, the site is on the banks of a safe part of the river (and to our delight, the running tracks, forest routes too). The campsite is not too... More

Camped here and loved every second. Was right on the river's edge and it was so gorgeously peaceful! We forgot out electrical hook up cable and were able to borrow one from the staff no problems. They answered all our questions and gave great recommendations about where to go when. Excellent English, but allowed me to practise my French, responding... More

We came few days last year going south to Spain. NICE spot! Very good for the children. We made a lot of Campsite in Dordogne but it’s one of the best we did! My wife and children enjoyed their stay. Every person at the reception were very nice. They spoke a perfect and fluent English. It’s important for us because... More

We camped here for two weeks in August 2012 with our 14 year old son. The campsite is located on an island in the Dordogne river immediate beside the small town of Beaulieu sur Dordogne. The site is medium sized with about 180 pitches. Our pitch was located at the rear of the site next to the canoe slalom course.... More
