We stayed here while touring on motorcycles and found the hotel to be fantastic. The owners friendly and helpful. Quirky hotel, a little gothic, very comfortable spacious room and a good breakfast. The town has a few surprises if you go and explore, an old town hidden in the back. Lovely. While we were there a music festival was also... More

We had a few check-in hic-cups but once we were in our room it was great. Our two night stay in a modern room in this castle setting was unique, comfortable and very quiet. The owners were very helpful, provided a nice personalised breakfast and recommended a quality restaurant to dine overlooking the Dordogne River - excellent. Adjacent to town... More

Thanks so much for your nice comment. It's really nice to have taken the time to share your feedback. Indeed WiFi is tricky... but then in the countryside, in France, WiFi is week. Hopefully our country will finally realize how important it is to have high quality networks everywhere. Hope you had a nice trip back. Thanks again, Julia More

We stayed for 4 nights in August and couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The village is beautiful and the hotel was perfect. The room was very clean and comfortable and the addition of a small fridge was very welcome in the heat of the summer. The owners were very helpful and spoke perfect English and even recommended... From the front, this hotel looks as if it has stepped out of a fairy tale - mullioned windows, turrets and old stones. Inside is a chic, modern place which manages to blend the very old with the 'up to date'. Hosts Julia and Christophe are very helpful. I will be back.

Wonderful hotel recently renovated combines the charm of 14th century and modern design. Located in the middle of town and run by a wonderful couple it is a great place to rest one's weary head. The rooms are large and very modern but located in the one surviving turret of the old castle walls. Breakfast was delicious and more than... More

We stayed here for one night late in August. The room was big and very comfortable. The hotel embodied all that I love about this part of France, old, historic, big room and in the middle of a beautiful village.

Excellent hotel situated in centre of town, but very quiet at night. Ample parking across the road. Staff were efficient, friendly and very professional. Excellent, well presented food with good wine list at reasonable price. Breakfast is a veritable feast. Only booked for one night but would have been happy to have stayed longer.

If you are fed up with run of the mill hotels this is place for you. The owner was extremely friendly and we felt very much at home. The breakfast buffet was much better than what is normally offered.

Broke our journey from Collioure to Caen Ferryport at this hotel. It really is a gem mixing ancient building with amazing themed rooms. We were in "New York", which was very comfortable. Dinner was excellent and M Savary a very welcoming host.

We feel fortunate to have found this gem! Our family of four took two rooms - both clean, spacious and newly refurbished. The hotel is in an old abbey, so the modern rooms next to the well worn stone walls and staircase is fun. It is in a great location in a picturesque town. We thoroughly enjoyed two nights here...
