Try this hotel for a flavour of old Corsica. Originally the home of a rich family it is in the process of being converted into a comfortable hotel. The rooms are basic but with character and breakfast is taken in the old kitchens if the weather is a bit chilly for outside. Breakfast is a buffet and good but evening... More

We spent our honeymoon travelling around Corsica and stopped for a few days at Mare e Monti. It was blissful. Simple but elegant rooms with fresh flowers. A wide choice for breakfast with fruits from the gardens, homemade yogurt and compote as well as the more usual breads, pastries, meats and cheese. The pool area has a beautiful view and... More

Nice place to stay, friendly staff. It is quite remote, but if you're looking for a quiet stay, this is the place. Nice pool. Make sure you book the restaurant, as it can be quite busy. Nice food, alongside the pool.

We are staying here at the moment. We stayed in a room for 111 euro the first night and 85 euro the second. They have done a really really great job restoring the house and all the rooms are just perfect. If the 85 euro room is available and you are on a budget go for it. We ate here... More

Understated elegance and charm. This little hotel surprises even the most discerning of visitor. An idillic location in the heart of the hills and staff who can't do enough to help, even with basic English. Freshly picked strawberries and home made yoghurt and pastries for breakfast. A great restaurant and pool area. The rooms are quite small and basic but... More

We didn't like the hotel very much. When we arrived, we asked for the bar. The lady said, that only the restaurant was open. We looked in the village for a drink. There was only a weird bar, where we got a bottle of very bad wine. In the hotel, we found the atmosphere very stiff. The best thing was... More

Pleasant place to stay few days or a week to visit Balagne (outdoors, sea side). Nice room recently renovated ( flat TV Screen on the wall may be viewed as CO2 superflous burner,as well as aircon). Swimpool clean (and independantly well managed) in a flourish garden. Breakfast was missing fresh fruits. Owner could also provide touristical information.

We travelled to this hotel with the UK tour operator Corsican Places. It is a great hotel with heaps of charm. The rooms are of a good standard. Bathrooms are modern and clean feeling – if a little small. The position is lovely – the village of Feliceto is as well placed in the Balagne for walking as it is... More

Stayed here for a week at the end of May 2007. Lovely restored 18th century house. We had room on top floor overlooking the valley. Behind lies Mount Grosso[1973m]. Plain simple rooms which were very warm. Reasonable sized bathroom and separate toilet. Buffet breakfast included. A very quiet village in the middle of some of the best scenery in the... More

Friendly staff, good value, comfortable and peaceful rooms, a lovely swimming pool, as much breakfast as you can eat. The only potential drawback is the one choice dinner menu, but since this is published early in the day, and there are plenty of local restaurants within easy driving distance (and even a couple within walking distance) this was never a...
