We spent 4 nights in this charming hotel. we were amazed by the quality of service and the loved the breakfast. The village of Erbalunga offers great little restaurants minutes away from the hotel. We took the Corsica Ferries cruise from Nice to Bastia as foot passengers - the advantage is that you get on board first and you can bag a good seat in the panoramic lounge! I chose this hotel because of the reviews saying how peaceful it was. Those people could not have stayed in room 6. We were told we were "upgraded" and the room certainly looked charming. Castel Brando was easily the nicest hotel we stayed in during our three weeks in Corsica. The June rates were reasonable -- 115€ -- for a lovely room in a renovated palazzo, a delightful pool, gardens and terraces shaded by palm trees, and most important, a smiling, attentive staff. We ended our trip at Castel Brando, and hated to leave. more
