Let it be said...I reviewed this Chateau some years back and we revisited last month. Like a fine that gets better with age, so does the Chateau D'Ige. Most of the wonderful staff has remained the same and the new staff is charming and well-versed in their crafts! About 3 1/2 hours from Paris, by car, this is a great,... More

This relais hotel is a true gem. In the heart of Burgundy, in a tiny little village, it is well worth a trip. The room we had was huge, with a modern and large bathroom. It was more like a suite in a five star hotel. Very quiet. The restaurant is superb, with absolutely top notch cuisine. We plan to... More

We had a fabulous stay at the Chateau d'Igé. Staff is very attentive and friendly. The chateau is renovated with great eye for detail, the textile wallpapers in the rooms are gorgeous! In the garden you enjoy your breakfast and aperitive. Dinner was great, the set menus for 50-60 EUR are really worth the price!

This hotel with its restaurant is one of the best I have ever had the pleasure to visit and stay at! Staff friendly, rooms clean and the surroundings charmingly beautiful! We stayed two nights, could easily have extended that to a week!

We stayed for one night only on the way south. We were given a warm welcome on arrival and shown to our room. We stayed in Vieille France which was up a stone staircase. The room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was very well appointed. We had booked to have an evening meal and this experience surpassed our expectations.... More

Wine (degustation) tasting in Southern Burgundy and Beaujolais would not be complete without a stay in an 'hotel gastronomique' to finish off the day, and in the Chateau d'Ige you have such a hotel. Situated at the southern end of the Maconnais between Macon and Cluny it is readily accessible. The chateau built in 1235, is small and intimate. The... More

A one night stay here en route north to south. We had asked for a turret room and were not disappointed. A warm friendly reception on arrival and a lovely suite on the second floor of the turret, decorated in the unique French style with lavish four poster and wall hangings, a modern pretty bathroom and a sitting room. We... More

We spent two lovely days at this hotel. It is very well taken care of, our room was delightful, mattress and bathroom details excellent. The lady who manages it and her staff were friendly and helpful. We had a great dinner the first night, but after a big meal for lunch somewhere in the region the manager suggested we could... More

This is a really cute place! Everyone was very friendly and tried to speak English with us. The food was amazing but costly. The grounds are beautiful and the surrounding towns as well. There really are not other restaurants around and no night life so just know what to expect. It is very quiet and relaxing~no hustle and bustle. The... More

After a small snafu when we arrived (the room we booked online the day before was not available) we settled in to a suite room on the ground floor changing the next day to one of the tower suites which was fabulous, large with an four poster bed and a small sitting room upstairs in the turret. This is a... More

Thank you for your comments on Trip Advisor. As you have said it is always better to book in advance with us to ensure you have the room you want.
