We stayed there for 1 night. Nice small building, located in the centre of the village. It does not give you the impression of being a real caste. Plenty of staff, some of them quite aloof. We stayed in the spacious room Citronelle, which was however not a "real castle room". We were informed about this though, when making the... more

The proprietor clearly took an enormous pride in her establishment; and she and her staff were charming and all made a concerted effort to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. The meal in the restaurant was superb and the service was courteous without being overbearing - and was even pleasantly informal at times. (Further to prevoius reviews,... more

This was our second visit to the Chateau during, what tends to be, an annual drive from London down to the South of France. Our room (Vielle France) was a good size and clean with a large bathroom but not air conditioned which, in the heat and humidity of August, just ain't that great. The outside windows and shutters need... more

My husband and I stayed at Chateau Ige in July 2004, in fact I was the first person to write a review on it. The Chateau is just as we remembered it - lovely. We were met on arrival and assistance was offered with our luggage. Our room, "Vieille France" was super - nice and big with a great bathroom... more

Hi My partner and I are British and have a second home in Northern Burgundy. We had never been to the Macon area before and thought that it would be fun to stay in a nice hotel for a couple of nights. We picked Chateau d'Ige because it offered a wine package and was in the area close to the... more

My husband and I stayed at Chateau d'Ige in May 2009, we had a wonderful time and absolutely loved the Chateau, the staff, the service and the food. If we have an opportunity to return to Burgundy, we would definitely stay at this Chateau again. The proprieter of the Chateau was very warm and caring regarding our needs and comfort.... more

This hotel is off the beaten path. The hotel is in Ige, a small undistinguished town. However the trip and stay are well worth the effort. The hotel is really a magnificent chateau. Our stay in this hotel was one of the highlights of our three week trip in Provence. Our room was a two story affair in a small... more

My husband and I stayed here with my parents in September 2007. My husband and I had a seperate Tower Suite. The downstairs was a sitting area and bathroom; the upstairs was the bedroom. It was nice having a seperate area to entertain. The room overlooked a field with tons of sheep, which was very pretty. The grounds of the... more

We went there with all the family for a party and booked 4 rooms and had two diners in the restaurant. The hotel is very nice, clean and quiet. If you like the castle feeling you will love this hotel. The restaurant is very good as well (just the “mignardise” where not good, too fat), great cook and good service.... more

Encouraged to stay here by a personal recommendation and other tripadvisor reports, a very good value chateau hotel in a typical working Burgundy village; spacious room and excellent meal cost only half of what we've paid in similar quality chateaux elsewhere in Burgundy. They speak very little English but one can get by. The garden is pleasant, the terrace and... more
