We had a "soleil" (sun) room on the garden level. The room was clean, quite spacious and corresponded to our requirements, including a kitchenette with all the necessary kitchenware, stove, refrigerator, etc. From our terrace we enjoyed the nice large garden of the hotel and the beautiful surrounding hills. The location is excellent, very central in the Perigord Noir, 7... More

We may have misread the information but we were expecting river views. There weren't any but the views across the (trees) river were beautiful, as far as Gomme on the distant hilltop. Nicely set back up a long drive it is set well back from the road. It is a chalet style hotel in look and fairly modern. The rooms... More

We stayed for 2 nights in August. Hotel is on the outskirts of Vitrac (10 min walk) and is set on a hill. The hotel staff were friendly and spoke English. The reception is open during the day but not in the night. Our room looked out onto a hill bank. The room looked very tired and in need of... More

Good place to stay for 1 to 3 days; we stayed one night. We slept well in a clean room and had a very good breakfast. Good heating in the bathroom, but complicated airconditioning in the room (may was rather cold this yar). No restaurant in the hotel, but lots of places nearby to have a good Périgord-meal. The owner,... More

We loved our stay in the region. On top of the amazing Dordogne Valley landscapes, this hotel has its own contribution to this. The location is great, benefiting from pleasant surroundings and great views while maintaining a short distance to Sarlat. Services and rooms offer great value for money. It seems a new refitting completed during the last months gives... More

Booked a double - got a twin- not a good start!! Especially as we were told no doubles available yet an hour after we arrived some other guests were given a double room opposite us. Room small and really no better than a cheap airport hotel - apart from the shower which grudgingly was ok. Instead of overlooking the valley... More

The hotel has a nice view over the hills, quiet place. This hotel has no restaurant. The rooms are a bit tiny. We've got a flatscreen tv, but only french senders on it. The couple, who owned the hotel, were very friendly especially the women, the man was, less kind. Good breakfast. The swimmingpool was ok for a few people, but when... More

We stayed for 1 night in the cheapest class room. Very clean, somewhat tires design, especially bathroom could use an upgrade. The more expensive rooms have been refurbished. Pros: view of the hills and countryside, pool, value for money. Cons: somewhat unhappy service , poor breakfast

We stayed for 3 days at this excellent family run hotel. The hotel setting is beautiful and the location is within easy driving distance of Sarlat, Lascoux II and Racamadour. Rooms were clean and comfortable, south facing have the best view, ground floor south facing have private patio. There are several excellent restaurants (including gourmet) in the area. Ask hotel... The view on the Dordogne countryside from the room was great, the swimming pool was just perfect, the room decorated in a pleasant contemporary style. But natural ventilation of the room was bad - full of mist on the window in the morning despite hair conditioning was on. No big deal though. Most ennoying was the bad noise isolation from... More
