We were recommended the north coast of Zanzibar and was recommended this hotel. It has a very good situation, close to the beach, nice restaurant, lot's of activities. The flat itself was spacious, had AC, but we did only use the fan, was clean, a nice veranda with view to the garden. We did have problem with the safe, but... More

We booked a beach front bungalow and got just that. Good value for money at $96 usd per night. Restaurant was good and lounging at the bar was a very popular past time for many. Lovely stretch of beach and close to other resorts if you feel like a different restaurant. Only complaint would be that the bathroom was very... More

I stayed here last year in September (2013). After camping and backpacking, this was a majorly relaxing place. I will note that it is probably not sufficient for a business traveler, as they don't have good WiFi service. The staff struggle with English a bit, but enough to get through their jobs. The restaurant is slow, but you can order... More

we arrived at the hotel late at night after a long coach journey, so did not appreciate the view on the first night, although were very surprised when we were shown our rooms! we had a massive double bed, sofa seats and free safe and free aircon all in our room. We turned the 'please clean our room' sign over... More

By far the most awful place I have ever stayed. Not worth a $20 stay let alone the $120 they charge. Great location but that's where the positives stop. The 2 boys at reception did not introduce themselves. They were both particularly unwelcoming! The approach to our 'deluxe' room smelt of toilets. The room itself looked ok till we tried... More

The room we had was just amazing. It was huge and very nice furnished with a big bed and mosquito net. We had a nice balcony with chairs and table as well as a nice bathroom with two sinks. Unfortunately, the room had no fan and the aircon didn't proper cool down and was additionally very noisy. A safe is... More

The rooms and the location is good. The problem is the customer service! They started to charge money for wifi in the middle of our vication. They ask for a lot of money for the wifi which is wrong when the rooms are expensive. In addition, in the last day we found out that other people paying a cheaper price... More

Excellent location. We got our room with a nice view to an open area with palm trees. Only 100 metres from the beach, which is very, very nice by the way. But... The service in the reception was not anything special. The breakfast was the most boring we experienced on all the 7 hotels we stayed on in Tanzania. Cold... More

Excellent beds with mosquito nets, rooms include air con and an overhead fan, and electronic safe to store valuables (recommended as the maids appeared to leave our balcony doors unlocked after airing the room). Fantastic bathroom with strong, hot shower. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant was excellent. We tried further down the beach one evening but other restaurants did... More

have been staying here since 2006 on several occassions, as it's right next door to the Scuba-Do dive center, but also because of it's loaction (right on the beach), it's easy-going atmosphere and because Kendwa is just the best beach on Zanzibar
