My husband stayed 4 nights at the lovely Palm Beach Inn. We chose this location after reading the website and learning about their philosophy on supporting community. The owners, Mama Naila and her son Mahfuhd are doing a lot of great work toward this. When we arrived at the airport, the owner, Mama Naila came with the driver to greet... More

I came across this property by accident...I was facilitating a workshop for UNESCO and needed a place to stay. Arriving at 10pm was not the best time to see things...as well, the electricity was still out and had been for a few hours..(should be no power outages by the end of Nov 2012). In any case my colleague and I... More

This was a wonderful place to escape to. We really enjoyed chilling by the pool here and having some fantastic retreats, to the south of the island to hang out with dolphins, then north of Bwejuu up to the peninsula to watch the sun set over the sea. The staff organised a fantastic meal for us on a private beach... More

This is a lovely property - and I recommend it. The views are 5 star, but the accomodations simple (2 star). The food is quite good, and the staff helpful, which is what makes this place wonderful and why it is a wondeful value hotel. The staff went out of their way to accomodate my gluten free diet, surprising me... More

We were looking for a really relaxing place by the beach to chill out for a few days. Palm Beach was definitely that, with a spacious and breezy room overlooking the beach (we didn't need the aircon at all). There is also a pool, which is good as the sea retreats a long way at low tide, although this gives... More

If you need to recharge and want a secluded private tropical paradise, this is it. Great, spacious villas, good customer service, live music at dinner, great food, nice pool, private beach cabana, great breeze..... Will definitely go again. Peaceful environment, great stress detoxer!

I have stayed in wonderful hotels for travel all over the world. I wish to tell you, if you are travelling to the east coast of Zanzibar ie Paje or Bwejuu ... and are looking to chill in comfort and peace ... look no further. I absolutely enjoyed the entire experience of staying at the Palm Beach Inn. The staff... More

We stayed three nights in this most delightful hotel. It's on the beach and the staff was extremely pleasant in taking care of our every need. This hotel was recommended to us by Simon Gluckman of Intrepid Expeditions.

Good and bad points here. On the good side, the owner 'Mama Nihla' is a facinating individual who is clearly a powerful woman in Zanzibar. Spend one night with her and sone son talking an I defy you not to be facinated by their story. Its also extremely authentic, secluded and located on a working part of the beach. This... More

This little hotel is a beautiful place if you want to mix in with the local people. They work in the hotel and do anything to make you're stay as nice as it good be. Very nice and fresh food. If you want to do some excursions the hotel manager will arrange it for you. Thanks Madfoudh for the beautiful... More
