Our stay at Matemwe was absolutely incredible. It's over an hour's drive from the airport (must bargain with the cab driver), but certainly worth it. The lodging matches the breathtaking scenery. We think that one of the most important things for an accomodation is to give new visitors a warm welcome with at least a smile. During our stay we really missed a friendly touch of the staff. We stayed there in May-2005 (not 2006) after a week on safari in Tanzania and 8 days in Uganda. Understand this is a average property, not a luxury suite place -we stayed in the Shambala Suite -and the roof on the hut is OPEN. There are losts of mosquitoes and it is and sandy.
