We had a great few days with friends at Ngalawa BV. Kaka Sadru and the staff are friendly and very helpful. The food was great and well presented. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Very nice pool and entertainment area. Day trips available. We plan to return to NBV for our wedding aniversary in September

My family and I had a memorable week at Ngalawa Beach Village from 22nd to 29th July 2014. The thing that struck me the moment I arrived was how quiet it was. It was so peaceful. The hustle and bustle of getting out of the airport and through the busy streets of Zanzibar left us a little uncertain as to... More

Ngalawa Beach is the right place to re-charge your batteries. May be a bit too isolated for some and not the choice if you are looking for late party hours and a lot of action, but ideal for lazy days with a good book. It is always a gamble when you stay at a full-board place with a fixed menu,... More

Rooms are very clean although not extremely spacious. Hot water supply is excellent but there is little room for clothes. The beach is lovely despite being highly affected by tides. The hotels restaurant serves excellent food / we found the service at the restaurant quite slow and not up to the standard of the hotel. Don't expect rooms with sea... More

We spent 05 days in this lovely place. The Beachhouse we booked via Booking.com is no more but an acceptable alternative was offered. Mr Sadru is a wonderful man making all feel zen and enjoy. The Hotel is a little isolated but offers all ingredients for a relaxed and stressless holiday. Wonderful staff and most important... a delicious cuisine !... More

A week of lasting memories. We spent 7 nights from 14 June, the staff at Ngalawa Beach Village had been excellent and very welcoming. Our dietary preferences were catered for at all times. The meals were superb, and presented in a 5 star way. Mr Sadhru and his team run an excellent facility.

We spent 7 nights from 1-7 April this year. The 'venue' itself is fantastic. The accomodation is comfortable, though tiny cupboard space, and 'rocking' toilet. Though we complained, it was never solved. Our sea-view unit had no sea-view. The food: well presented, but the presentation doesn't matched the quality, though the afternoon hight-tea is very enjoyable with some snacks as... More

We had a fabulous time at Ngalawa!!!! The staff are ALL amazing, so friendly, courteous and helpful. We spent 6 blissful days at the resort, relaxing, enjoying many cocktails :-), and swimming and lazing round the pool or on the beach. THANK YOU Jo-Anne and Val for ensuring our honeymoon was all that we had wished for, and all the... More

14- 21 January 2014 I have thought long and hard about what to say regarding my experience at Ngalawa Beach Village and can truthfully state that it was the very best experience I have had in all my travel experiences and for this priceless memory there is no words to describe the bliss, but let me try some pointers: We... We were visiting in Stonetown, Zanzibar and last minute decided to take in the East Coast. Staff at the Pearl of Zanzibar hotel in Stonetown were able to set up private taxi and accommodation at Ngalawa Beach Village at an unbelievably reasonable price. It was only about a 45 minute ride from Stonetown. The place is exceptionally clean and very... More
