We have just had a 4 day stay with Sadru and Joanne which was wonderful. We had a very quiet relaxing time. Our children were indulged with time and special catering. We did well planned excursions and enjoyed the grounds. The pool is ideal for small children, they loved the monkeys in the garden and tame goats. We felt very... More

We spent 7 days at Ngalawa from the 11th to 18th October 2014. The facilities, service, food etc was faultless. A huge thank you to Joanne and Sadru for assisting with arranging excursions at very good prices, compared to prices we heard were paid by other tourists, i.e. Safari Blue was the highlight of our holiday @ USD60 per person... Joanne & Sadro are excellent hosts and run a beautiful little resort nestled away from the hustle and bustle of city living. The food was tasty, plentiful and well presented. The excursions are definitely worthwhile experiencing. Awesome week away!

This hidden-away gem on the busy island of Zanzibar is fantastic. Sadru's grounds, the pool and common areas are beautifully designed. The food, featuring an African/European themed menu is amazing. We would love to return for another visit.

Staff - perfect, very friendly & competent Food- very good, except for breakfast. Hotel should consider a buffet Refreshments- beverages at the bar unaffordable, overpriced & you don't have an alternative in the surrounding areas. Rooms-Average, towels definitely need to be replaced!!! Taps can do with better cleaning methods. Swimming pool overdue for maintenance/cleaning. Attractions - You have to be... More

Greetings from sunn Zanzibar ! Thank you so much for your review of Ngalawa Beach Resort. . Your compliments in regards to our food has been passed on to our well trained Chefs . My family and I had a memorable week at Ngalawa Beach Village from 22nd to 29th July 2014. The thing that struck me the moment I arrived was how quiet it was. It was so peaceful. The hustle and bustle of getting out of the airport and through the busy streets of Zanzibar left us a little uncertain as to... More

Ngalawa Beach is the right place to re-charge your batteries. May be a bit too isolated for some and not the choice if you are looking for late party hours and a lot of action, but ideal for lazy days with a good book. It is always a gamble when you stay at a full-board place with a fixed menu,... More

Rooms are very clean although not extremely spacious. Hot water supply is excellent but there is little room for clothes. The beach is lovely despite being highly affected by tides. The hotels restaurant serves excellent food / we found the service at the restaurant quite slow and not up to the standard of the hotel. Don't expect rooms with sea... More

We spent 05 days in this lovely place. The Beachhouse we booked via Booking.com is no more but an acceptable alternative was offered. Mr Sadru is a wonderful man making all feel zen and enjoy. The Hotel is a little isolated but offers all ingredients for a relaxed and stressless holiday. Wonderful staff and most important... a delicious cuisine !... More
