Spot on location between Forodhani Sqaure, Stone town sites and the dala dalas to the other parts of the island. The staff are great, me and my fiance have stayed here many many times and will continue to head back when we visit again. Breakfast on the rooftop is lovely- the waiter who serves breakfast is the best! Staff are... More

I'll be honest and say that my personal experience was perhaps 'bad luck' and overall, this is a beautiful hotel and quite good value! Pros: - Location: walking distance to the tourist drab of the Stone Town, yet within a more authentic part of Stone Town; also very close to the port and night market - Staff: very friendly and... We were very comfortable in our third-floor air-conditioned room, and would have happily stayed longer than the one night our itinerary allowed for. The hotel is very centrally located, an easy five minute walk from the Forodhani Gardens/fort/centre of town (and yes, the streets get dark at night, so a torch isn't a bad idea!). The area is fascinating (though... More

The original stone house of zanzibar history. Very nice interior and warm welcome from the staff. It has all bath equipment and very clean beds filled with Woden tradition of zanzibar. Close to all tourist site. The staff offered 3 hours walking tour from reasonable price. Airport taxi ckst 10k only

Hidden in the alleys but very close to the ferry. It would be a good idea to have a torch on you after dark. With a bit of luck you are able to find the place yourself, just turn left after the big tree. Traditional decorations and the wooden carved bed reminds you of the stories from Thousand and One... The position of the Pyramid is in the old part of Stone Town, not so far from the port (5 min walking) and from other points of interest. Average clean. Tiny bathroom and not so clean. Basic breakfast.

This is a really atmospheric and picturesque place with really cool decor. It's down a maze of alleys and you properly feel like you are in Stone Town. Good access for all the amenities. Nice room, good nets, very clean. The staff were very helpful and they can sort out your tours and things. Pretty good value, though it can... More

In Stone town you have to careful when you chose your hotel since it is difficult to find most of them. (you'll need a pick-up or someone to show you. the city is mostly like a medina with small streets and shops.) If you won't be staying in a hotel on the main streets -which are expensive accordingly- this hotel... More

Charming traditional place, with lovely top-roof place to rest and eat. Reception persons are very kind and helpful, internet works properly. The rooms are comfortable with muslim-traditional ornaments and decoration. Very stylish. Hotel is well located (near ferry harbor) Strongly recommend.

Very nice hotel, nice interior, somehow dark. Good and big beds with bednets, bathroom is ok, somehow wet. Rooms are warm but have a ventilator and airco for 10$ more. Some rooms are bigger than others. Nice staff, very helpfull, good breakfast.
