there is much to like about the Hotel Perroquet .It is run by an elegant french lady along with her team of attentive staff .It was quite busy when we were there ,which is very very unusual at the present time,.The reason is its excellent location, ,lovely restaurant( overlooking the river),clean tidy simple rooms ( fan only ) all at... Stayed in the balcony rooms overlooking the river during a two week long business trip to Ziguinchor. Rooms were cleaned daily and the staff was always courteous and helpful. They had good advice about where to get local dishes from restaurants in the area and were able to accomodate me when I had to prolong my stay. The room itself... More

Le Perroquet is fine for a night. That is, if they get your reservation. We arrived around 7pm, after speaking to the owner on the phone (he lives in France) to find out they didn't have our reservation. After a lengthly, illogical argument, we ended up with a room that did not look over the river (as we had reserved).... More

The entry of the hotel compound is somewhat rundown and could use some love and attention and so do the rooms. The view from the first floor rooms is suberb but why not put a second chair on the balcony? Although its basic clean the room would look better after a proper shrub. There's no hot water and taking a... More

I also experienced that the staff of the hotel behind the bar/reception who doubles as waiter is very unfriendly ,but the worst was that the small rooms at the river side were totally infected with mosquitos. I could even not use the bathroom without being sucked by the mosquitos and this was the same when I returned after some days... More

Just a perfect avarage place in casamance, Nicely located on the river banks, (is it a river?) the best is its price, (8€ a double room), well, comparted with the close by hotel that asks a fortune. Rooms without any charme, mosquito net in good condition, and toilette a bit too smelly. Birds (I suspect cranes) will wake you up... More

When you want to stay on the banks of the Casamance river and do not want to go for the luxury (and costly) option, you might want to try this hotel. It has pro's and cons: Pro: - location on the riverbank - free and decent wifi - good discount in august - friendly staff - bird colony in tree... More

This place is just ok. Pros: nice location and views over the river, and nice garden. Beds are comfortable and it's clean.Good free wi-fi. They provide mosquito net. Cons: Staff don't care about anything, not welcoming at all, they didn't even take our names or say hello, just throw us into the room. The room is ok, but the shower... More

Hotel le Perroquet had a superb location right on the Casamance river. We stayed only 1 night here, and we had a large family room on the first floor overlooking the river from the balcony. The price of the room was 35.000 CFA (for 5 people) but this price was without a breakfast. Additional price for the very simple breakfast... More

I stayed overnight in a room at bottom floor. The comfort is real nice, although no extra luxury. Comfortable bed and quite room by night. Nearby is boutiqes, gym, restaurants and an internetcafé. The staff is serviceminded and care for their guests. I was recommended this hotel by friends and I am very pleased. The hotel has a small combined... More
