This hotel is nestled nicely at the outskirts of the Taita Hills sanctuary. It is an old facility and while there is a certain charm with the hotel and particularly the lobby area with its huge rock fireplace, the rooms are a bit tired and could use an upgrade, particularly the bathrooms. The game viewing was pretty poor when I... More

I enjoyed a three staff retreat at the hotel. The hotel has a unique elevated African huts design that allows one to view wildlife from the comfort of a hotel bed. The restaurant and bar overlook the waterhole where animals usually come to drink. There's also an underground tunnel that allows one to get incredibly close to the animals with... More

I was at the lodge from 15th february 2014 at 1pm and left the following morning. The rooms were okay but no phone(i was in room 112) so we had to go downstairs if we needed something. Also the pool had not been cleaned and the food was not the best both for dinner and breakfast, not enough variety. However,... More

We stayed here on night three of the Pollmans Ndogo Safari. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the hotel offered a turn down service on an evening so when we returned to the room after safari the mosquito nets had been drawn around the bed and the air conditioning was on low. We arrived from the safari at lunchtime which... More

Whilst this is a lovely hotel (and would be fine if staying in a city), it is unfortunately a really awful safari hotel. No wildlife seems to really come close to the hotel's watering hole and there was absolutely nothing to see from our balcony. Not a patch on the other hotels we stayed at where there were endless plains... More

We had one night at this hotel whilst on safari. The hotel accommodation overall was very pleasant but the room had not been properly cleaned and the sheets on the bed were very badly stained. Of the three lodges we stayed in this was the worst of the three.

Taita hills and dalt lick game lodges 7km apart from each other and under same Sarova management provided us with a warm reception and excellent service. The food is very delicious with a wide variety to chose from, the dining area overlooks the animal watering hole so you will regularly see at close range elephants buffaloes amongst others, the place... We last visited Taita Hills some 12 years ago. Not sure it has changed much since. Stopped in for lunch whilst on Safari and enjoyed a very good lunch. Everywhere is very clean and it is nice to be able to sit out by the pool and enjoy a cold drink. Taita Hills has a genteel feel about it and... More

Stayed here on the last leg of our 4 day safari, rooms are a good standardand everywhere is spotlessly clean the lounge area has a large central chimney which is great for sitting around having a drink and a chat, the food was the best of all the lodges we stayed, like other reviewers have said the ginger sponge pudding...
