I highly recommend the Maralal Safari Lodge for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat, a place to read or write, a gathering place for a group of friends, or a resting place for people spending time in Samburu after work or play. The setting is beautiful - with wildlife coming to drink from the pond. The staff are so friendly,... More

This place is amazing, I can totally recommend it! Having read that LP says this place is about to fall apart, I still dared to try and see it myself. I only came there for a day trip as I read that the terrace of Safari Lodge is the best spot to view the wildlife living within the Maralal National... More

I felt simply fantastic to have a... More

Wwe really enjoyed the Maralal Safari Lodge, it has obviously been around for a while and the decor reflects this but it is really homely and the staff are fantastic. We had a very peaceful evening and a great nights sleep. The food was perfectly good and there was plenty of it! Not a bad thing to say about the... More

July 2010..... After over nine & a half hours spent on the road from Loyangalani (Lake Turkana) to travel the 235km....this Lodge seemed like heaven. Trust me when they say the roads in Africa are rough....this is the one they are talking about. Travelling with 3 other ladies from rural Australia, we thought we knew all about rough roads but...
