You should not expect a four star European, American or Asian hotel when on Cabo Verde (except the all-inclusive resorts of course) so lower your standards a little and then look at a hotel again. This one is clean, pretty modern and all in all pretty good and probably above average of similar hotels. Although we arrived late and departed... More

This hotel was basic - but as my holiday in the lesser known Cape Verde islands progressed, I realised it was better than many of the others! On the plus side, the showers produced hot water, and the dinner, though tiny, tasted fine. Some rooms are nice - I was fortunate and got a window and a balcony. Less fortunate... More

We stayed here for two nights and, fortunately, were allocated a room with a window looking out on the hill opposite rather than a light-well. This meant we had enough light during the day, but at night the bulbs were such low wattage that we could hardly see - certainly not enough to read, or even to sort out our... More

We stayed at this small hotel as part of an organised walking holiday in the Cape Verde Islands. It's not a hotel I would have chosen. The service in the restaurant was extremely slow, on one occasion we waited over an hour for a simple meal - we were the only ones in the restaurant! Breakfast was poor - extras... More

This hotel is located about 5-10 walk from the downtown area of Mindelo. The rooms are very clean, appear to be new and are equipped with TV, fridge and air conditioning. Our room had a balcony overlooking the bay of Mindelo. Staff is friendly and speaks english well, which is not always the case in Cape Verde. Only downside to... More

I was surprised that they hotels in Africa, never been there before. The interior is quite old fashioned and simple. The staff is slow and not always as friendly as in western europe. But I am used to visit high standard western hotels so this hotel was quite simple and cheap. I was on my way for business, so I... More

I stayed here twice, once on my way to Santo Antão Island and once on the way back. On the first visit I had a room with a view of the facing hillside on the top floor. It was squeaky-clean and the twin bed was comfortable. The television, hot water, and air-conditioning worked fine. The lighting was adequate. On my... More

I highly recomment this hotel, opened earlier this year. The manager and staff were welcoming and friendly, offering good advice on where to visit and lifts into the town centre, despite it only being a short walk away. Lovely views over town and harbour from the top floor breakfast room and roof terrace. There was some construction work going on... More
