This B&B is located in city center, on a residential street that is quiet other than the barks from dogs. There is only one room with it's own bathroom. It is dark (one window that faces the inner courtyard which includes a pool) and the bathroom had no hot water. However, it is artistically decorated, has high ceilings and a... More

Hi Rhonda Hope you are well and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review - they help a small business like ours so much and we really appreciate it. I just wanted to clear up one point - during our major refurbishment back in July 2013, we... More

We spent 4 nights there before going to Santo Antao. The hotel is located in a great location : in a calm area but still right in the center of Mindelo. Nice and clean with really friendly staff. Go for it!

Stayed here recently got 4 nights Really friendly service and only €75 a night a real bargain The breakfast is huge, with fruit, bread, ham, cheese, yougart and lovely tea and coffee too . All served in the courtyard under a shade by the pool. There is a roof top terrace too, with nice views. You can sit and relax... More

The hotel is like a road in Morocco. There is a place in the middle of the house with a pool where people can hang out and relax. We stayed there twice when we were in Mindelo. The second time due to a flight that was cancelled due to the weather. On our second stay the team went beyond themselves... More

Although we were a bit disappointed by mindelo itself, this hotel was more than a pleasant surprise. Very nice atmosphere, exceptionally welcoming staff, beautiful rooms and a good breakfast. They speak many languages and are very helpful with their tips.

Had 2 very enjoyable nights here. The staff were warm, friendly and very helpful. The ground floor room was clean, tidy and handy for a cooling dip in the small pool. The bed was really comfortable. Quiet, yet handy location. The building is really stylish. We highly recommend the Casa Colonial.

Our favorite place to stay during our two-week Cape Verde trip. A beautifully restored home on a quiet street in the heart of downtown Mindelo. We stayed one night in a room on the second floor in the rear of the hotel and then again in a room on the second floor that faced the street. Both rooms were great.... More

Dear Sir/Madame So sorry to hear your stay with us was not as enjoyable as we hoped. Could you let me know which room you were in so that we can make a not of that. Also, sorry about the tea - was it too cold or too weak. I'm actually Scottish (the Old Alliance) so whisky's more my drink.... More

Lovely converted colourful traditional house in centre of town owned by a British family. Small but very stylishly decorated room looking out onto small central courtyard with pool (more a cooling off than swimming pool on account of size). Roof terrace for breakfast.

I had a wonderful room by the swimming pool. It was quiet with a great bed. Breakfast is served either by the pool or on the rooftop. I was made to feel very welcome and as I was there for a full week, I got to hang out with the family a bit and felt quite comfy. Samira is a... More

We spent only one night in Mindelo because the focus of our holiday was hiking on St. Antao then beach sports on Sal. This restored colonial house in the centre of Mindelo really is beautiful and unusual. We were greeted with great warmth and met some nice people over the welcome drink. Arriving in the pretty open-air courtyard with its... More
