My husband and I have just returned from our holiday which we booked to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We have been fortunate enough to have travelled extensively all over the world during the past 35+ years and during that time have been to all-inclusive hotels in Jamaica, Cuba, The Maldives (Kuramathi and Velidhu), and Zanzibar - usually staying at... more

This is a very colourful place, everything you need for a base on holiday. Gym, spa, games room, large swimming pool and shallow pool, entertainment. Beach location. The only downer i can say is that its very much geared up for italians as they're the main tourists over their, but staff try their best to communicate with you. more

I've just returned from a week at the Djadsal (pronounced Jadshal if you're interested) with my wife and we stayed on a B&B basis. The hotel is clean, the food is fine and plentiful and the staff are friendly and attentive. The decor is a bit basic and it could do with a lick of paint here and there but... more

Perhaps not the fairest of reviews as my stay was for only one night, but as first impressions count a review all-the-same. Was diverted here for the afternoon and following morning. Was given a dismal Butlins/Pontins 70's type chalet/room. The whole feel of the place was tired and garish murals on some external walls made it a tad tacky. The... more

This was my perfect holiday, White sands, blue sky and Great food. The beach was right outside the hotel aswell as the hotel having it's own pool. The rooms were spacious clean and comfortable. The hotel had a team of staff looking after the guest through out the day and also providing evening entertainment. The surf was great and we... more

Remember a 4* here is not same as in London but I was pleasanlty surprised and would rate at 3.5 stars. The food in the hotel is lovely couldn't fault it lots of fresh salad a variety meat, fish, vegetables and pasta to choose from. One evening meal consisted of traditional Cape Verde Fayre which seems to be similar to... more

I would not reccomend this hotel or anybody to come to this island within the next 10 years as it is a building sight. Me and my partner was expecting the island to be still developing but not the this extend! Just to warn you that there is a huge fly problem on the island! We didnt enjoy any meals... more

The island of Sal is a lump of the Sarah desert dropped into the Atlantic ocean. If you want desert, desert and more desert then Sal is the place to come!! Yet it's in the middle of a building boom of hotels, apartments, holiday complexes... Which seems perverse on an island that relies almost entirely on desalination to provide its... more
