Just returned from 2 week stay at Morabeza. Overall very good. Staff friendly, rooms clean, pool areas ok, nice buffet breakfast and surround and perfect location to venture out into Sal and its wonderful beach. If I went back to CapeVerde I would go back to Morabeza. Only drawback the Wifi is a bit temperamental and they offer 3 packages... More

Just returned from 7 nights at the Morabeza and can honestly say this is a lovely hotel in an amazing location adjacent to the beautiful beach. We stayed on a B&B package as we wanted to try some of the local restaurants and not be tied to the hotel. The breakfast was adequate and on a par with European hotels... More

Our second visit in 5 Years and we will be back. The hotel is perfectly positioned for the Restaurants and bars of Santa Maria. Far enough from the same to be peaceful and relaxing. It has Old style charm mixed with contemporary service. The best thing is that the inebriate oiks can't afford it. Not a tattoo or football shirt... More

Had a lovely relaxing time here , staff are all polite hotel and grounds are spotlessly clean, there are loads of sunbed so not getting up early to reserve them. The hotels beach is clean too well maintained the only problem is if your down on the beach loads of dogs hang around and pee up your sunbeds and towels... More

Hotel Morabeza was apparently the role model in it's day but has seen the effects of time. It feels a bit dated and is nothing fancy. Rooms are spacious but simple, moderate quality in furniture, bedding and towels. Quality of food at buffet breakfast is marginal - again, nothing fancy. However the beach side restaurant serves some of the most... More

We stayed in the "adults only" building, room 626, on the 1st floor, with a terrace which overlooks one of the 3 pools and a good part of the beach. The room was spacious, with enough big cupboards, but opening and closing them was very noisy (another system would be preferable). The bathroom is spacious as well, with a very... More

Heard mixed reviews about Cape Verde so decided to try it out for ourselves to make up our own minds. Here's our thoughts, positive and negative about Santa Maria and the Morabeza; Negatives - At check in, we were told we had to pay for wifi but that they didn't tell us is that you need to pay per device!... This is the only time we have ever returned to the same hotel and we were not disappointed. We come for the warm weather and totally relax. This is definitely the best hotel on the island and we came through Captivating Travel again, who are a small travel company whose personal service is beyond anything we have ever experienced. They... More

Clean, efficient hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had 5 dinners in our 11 night stay. Excellent quality food. Wonderful breakfasts with lovely fruit and pancakes in particular. Pool clean and warm. Helpful efficient staff in all bars. Comfortable sun loungers especially in pool area. Lovely sheltered area outside beach club. The best place to stay in Santa Maria.... More
