My wife, my daughter and I stayed here in April 2014 for 1 week. It was ideal for what we wanted - a place to chill-out with good weather and doing nothing. The Boavista island is a very dry island with few inhabitants, but inside the hotel everything was great. The beach is a long, long, long stretch of immaculate... More

We stayed at the hotel in January 2014 for my 50th birthday. We couldn't have picked better had we tried, the hotel is vast but feels very personnel the staff are friendly if you take the time to stop and get to know them, they cannot do enough for you to make the holiday special. The food is to die... More

My wife and I stayed here from 2nd-9th April 2014 and this was our second time at Riu Karamboa. We chose to go back because it is ideal for what we wanted - a place to chill-out with good weather for the time of year. This was just a Spring break for us, so all we wanted was to be... More

I love the riu karamboa , the staff are lovely and cannot do enough for you. the food is lovely, and the grounds and rooms kept lovely and clean. we had a very bad storm whilst there in September 2012 and there was a of flooding in the hotel , the staff worked tirelessly to make sure everyone was kept... Stayed at the Riu Karamboa from 5th-12th March 2014 as a young couple travelling to Cape Verde for the first time. After a tough few months, myself and my Fiance needed a quiet break with lots of sunshine, without having to travel too far. The hotel meets all expectations and more. It has one of the best locations of all... More

We stayed at the hotel karamboa from 26th march to 9th April. The weather was lovely ,but windy ,which in the day time is welcomed but of an evening could be quite cold ,so take cardigans , As I would expect having stayed at riu hotels when we travel ,it was immaculate . The food was of a good standard... More

Wow, an amazing stay everything was just perfect, from the white sandy beaches to the food and entertainment in such a safe and friendly environment. Next time I will take a mobile that is de chipped as the Internet is expensive and poor quality and would also take sun factor 30 and 50 as the sun is intensive and easy... More

Absolutely superb hotel. The rooms are decorated to an African theme. All very clean and lovely. The buffet restaurant offers a wide range of cuisine. The speciality restaurants are all included in the cost and are all very good. The Speciality restaurants on offer are the African, Asian and Cape Verdian. The staff are all very helpful and cannot do... More

My husband and I travelled to Boa Vista for a week from the 27th March. We knew there would be no entertainment on the plane so we took our iPads, Kindle and magazines. Moaning to the cabin crew both ways does not change things, they can not magic up a DVD player at 38,000 feet! We have flown enough in... More

Thompsons , what are you thinking of ? Serving an awful breakfast on the flight out with an announcement that tea and coffee to accompany this meal is £2.60. A 6 hour flight with no in flight entertainment ? While I am on with the tour rep.... The major thing which will prevent us from returning to Boa Vista again... More
