Went there in February 2015. Was recommended this place and indeed, it could be one of the best locations in Kribi, except this place is currently a building site - and they do not make any mention of it when you book your stay. From what I experienced, you won't yet be eating or enjoying your drink right on the... More

I stayed at this hotel 3 nights ago and it is a building site. The old restaurant has been semi demolished and they are building a new one. Work started at 7am and finished late afternoon. You are expected to eat in front of the new construction whilst work continues with noise and dust. Unable to walk barefoot to the... More

Tara Plage has been the nicest location & beach strip we found along Kribi. Quite, but not too quite; we watched the fisher men, waves, fishes, a giant turtle, even a film crew shooting a funny romance. - Not too many, however interesting tourists arriving @ Tara Plage. The hotel team is attentive and professional. Great food. -

I was recommended Tara plage through friends and colleagues so I tried it out, knowing multiple hotels in Kribi already. The location is quiet on a nice beach, though with an unfortunate view on the pipeline loading station offshore (think oil tankers on the horizon). Also you need a car for this place or work something out with the owner... More

Tara Plage always had the reputation of being rather a backpackers' than a decent option for accomodation. They changed to the better. A few little two-storey houses have been built that provide you with rather comfortable rooms, air conditioning included. The finishing lacks non-African standard but for Cameroonian standard is okay. The rooms are fine and mostly (!) have intact... More

I stayed at Tara plage for four days. I loved the place for it's uniqueness and location, which is away from the hustle bustle of the town and the noise. It's an idle place to stay if you want a relaxed holiday. The lobe falls is also easily accessible on foot in max 30 min through the beautiful path by... More

This place is on a beautiful and secluded part of the beach and the waves are great for playing. Great vibe from the welcoming staff. Rooms have bed, bathreoon, AC and hot water - good value for money as is the food and drink. Perfect place for relaxation.

This is a very good African hotel for a great price. Most of the rooms are on the beach and all usually have air conditioning. Very few mosquitoes. Beer and food good and fairly priced for a hotel. They are also very nice about bringing your own food and beer as long as you don't overdo it (unlike others like... More

Great little hotel. Not 'nice' per say, but a good little sufficient beach place. Less expensive than all surrounding hotels. Lacks nothing. Door opens right onto beach. We got a room with 2 double beds (with mosquito nets) that opened right onto the beach for $40. There are nice beach chairs. The place has a really good restaurant too--a little... More

My teenage daughter and I stayed at this B&B in December 2011 just before Christmas. We were returning from an earlier visit when my entire family stayed - wife with our two children. I very much liked the remoteness of it, the fact that you have over 3km of pristine sandy coastline with calming and surreal waves from the Atlantic... More
