My husband and I stayed overnight during the past long-weekend and loved how close the inn was to the local brewery, restaurants on the water and local museums. It's situated in a historic part of the Hudson River Valley and offers great views of the river. The hostess (Nancy and Chuck) were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The inn was beautiful,... The earlier negative comments (I always read negative comments as well) were overblown. The animals are NEVER in the house sayeth my "even allergic to pictures of cats".Like many pearls of Nineteenth century America including the one I am happy to live in, Newburgh has lost some of the very wealthy who built and populated fine homes and these structures have... In the middle Hudson Valley town of Newburgh, historic district a lovely B&B with all the amenities, along with accommodating, friendly and helpful owners. Nancy and Chuck have a long history with the B&B and the area. Great breakfast, too.

We stayed here in August and were there the same time the Laurie J couple were there. The hostess always asks what time you want breakfast. She offers 9 AM but if you want earlier - you get it. We asked for an earlier time as we wanted to get to the museums as they open. We got what we... More

I needed a place to stay half way on a long car trip and stumbled upon the Goldsmith Denniston House. Nancy and Chuck couldn't have been nicer and the house was an absolute delight. Every room had lovely antiques, beautiful silver and lovely artwork and furniture. I enjoyed sitting in their beautiful garden, by a small fountain and pond, and... More

I think the reviews are a bit overdone. Breakfast is not served before 9am. Which I think is late for travelers. We were given one hand towel and one bath towel for a couple. The windows can not be opened and the a/c was shut off at night so it was uncomfortable sleeping. There is a cat in the house,... More

I had an amazing stay at the Goldsmith Denniston House. It's got that quaint vintage charm, but with all the modern amenities you would find at a hotel. The house is very well maintained and huge! It's also near the center of all the places I wanted to visit - Beacon, Storm King Art Center, and Stonecrop Gardens. Nancy and... More

Nancy and Chuck have an immaculate property in Newburgh, NY, only about a block away from the scenic Hudson River. The property is groomed beautifully with bright flowers, a large green lawn, and even a small Koi pond in the backyard. The B&B home is equally as polished. The house is spacious with a well-stocked library (cozy couches for reading),... More

Nancy and Chuck's place is huge and exceptionally well-maintained, considering it's over 100 years old (central A/C.. whaaaat?!) Their rooms (I got the one facing the river/sunrise) were cozy and welcoming. And their bathrooms, furniture, and beds were clean and comfortable. The area is super quiet and neighborly and you will wake up to a terrific home-made breakfast. I stayed... More
