This hotel is a dump. The ducks in the pond may be deceiving, but ultimately this hotel is one of the worst I have experienced: stench in the room, most spartanic than you can imagine, carpets probably haven't seen shampoo in a long time, absolutely no security (no deadbolt, loose casing). I don't know how this owner stays in business,... More

THIS PLACE IS A SMELLY, INSECURE DUMP. We read all their online boasting on their website back in September 2014 when we were planning a visit from Colorado to rock climb at the Gunks, so we made a reservation. Should have slept in a tent. Our mistake was to hand out our credit card before looking - and sniffing -... More

OMG. Please be advised to stay away for your own health & safety. Checked in early afternoon. As advertised, cheapest in town. Id like to say, I got what I paid for, but that would be a lie. I must say the young lady at the front desk, was very pleasant & cheerful. However she was the only thing, that... More

The 87 Motel is a tired old 1960's style facility with 85 room (many are not used. Furniture has been updated, but the place looks tired. We had an awful night as they rented 12 rooms to some young people who had a beer party and carried on all night. We call front desk and received little help in stopping... More

We stayed for one night after a long drive in early July. Front desk check-in was odd, but we just chalked it up to the quirky personality of a night manager. The room was nice and clean. Bathroom was nice and clean too. They said it had Wi-Fi, but it didn't work. When we told them they said: "Just try... More

Would not recommend at all. Stayed one night. Couldn't wait to leave next morning. Air conditioner had spider webs all over it. I think they tried to upgrade a really old motel, but the overall appearance does not give confidence.

My son and I were driving around the Catskills area and we ended up in New Paltz around 5 pm so we decided to spend the night there. We looked at a couple other places nearby (Econo and Super 8) but at $92 p/n they (87 Motel) were the cheapest so we went with them. The room had all the... More

I know. It's dated. The sign flickers. The decor has not changed since the 1950's, the wallpaper is peeling in places. BUT, having returned as to a long-lost home, among all the high-priced options in Newburgh and Fishkill, examining the fleabags 20 minutes away, I gotta say: The price is not the cheapest. The bed is THE MOST COMFORTABLE I've... More

It took us forty minutes to check into our three rooms, even though we have stayed here for a number of years in the past and had made reservations 3 months earlier. The manager was a very strange character who somehow tried to turn every complaint back on to you, the guest. For instance, our shades were a bit torn... More

For $60 what can you expect. Beds ok room ok good diner across the car park For a freeway motel this does alright . Night clerk dude gave me local takeaway menus . I recommend number 56 on the Chinese menu. Basic low end motel unfortunately doesn't have vibrating beds which was very disappointing. What's a cheap motel without vibrating... More
