I had read some really awful reviews, but needed a room for one night at the last minute. I was apprehensive, but figured...hey, I'm just going to sleep there! However, I found the Rodeway Inn perfectly fine. The front desk folks were polite and congenial; the room was clean; the overall place isn't fancy, but is decently maintained. I didn't... More

Just stopped at this motel for one night and needed two rooms; one for my parents and one for me. The gentleman at the front desk was polite and professional and gave my parents a free upgrade to a suite with two king beds. It is a beautiful room and very spacious. My room is has a king bed and... More

While on the way to New Paltz my wife car was rear-ended in NYC. She called the hotel about 3:00 PM to cancel her reservation 400285769. She was told it could not be canceled except with 24 hours notice. She asked to speak to the manager and was told he was not available. His name was Mr. Nimit. The person... More

I have never written a review before, but feel compelled to do so in order to warn unsuspecting travelers about this place. This was by far the worst room I have ever stayed in. It was absolutely filthy, and the service was downright hostile. . I am a frequent traveler, and do not have an aversion to no-frills hotels. However,... More

I've stayed at this hotel a few times, and it's always been great. It's clean, wi-fi is good, the rooms are very nice, it's a great hotel. I see that there are a lot of bad reviews on here and all I can think is that the hotel must have changed from the past, because I'm here in May 2015... More

Just one step above awful? Not much to choose from in New Paltz so we tried her in place of ABVI. Paid about $50 mores - not worth the extra dollars! Going to stay in Poughkeepsie next time. King size bed is okay. Pull out sofa is awful and the skylight above it has something growing on it. Turned on... More

Be sure to put the "DO NOT KILL" sign on door before retiring. Pretty grim. We stopped at a couple of 1 star rated flops before abandoning all hope. There was a young guest in torn clothes with multiple cuts and stitches looking for a liquor store in lobby as we were checking in. The room it self had the... More

They have to unlock the doors in the middle of the day to let you in (how's that for safety?), bedspread looked like it hasn't been cleaned since the late 80s, guy is smoking profusely in the room next to ours, then when we try to change our 3 day reservation to leave they say we still have to pay... I have never given a hotel such a bad review, but I feel this was warranted given the price of $90. I came up from the city to run a half marathon in Minnewaska state park, and my husband and I drove around for about 40 minutes checking out the outside of nearby hotels and motels after all the reviews... The title gets your attention :-) My girlfriend and I came up for a hiking trip during the Fall foliage at the end of October. We booked a suite which is supposed to be better than the standard rooms. There were electrical wires on the floor, the alarm clock was broken and housekeeping didn't make up the room while we...
